Might not hurt to get it checked, but I thought that the lambda looked after the fueling on the 9A? in which case there isn't a lot to fiddle with. The new injectors ought to squirt fuel in a better pattern, which will help with running, and getting better combustion. On the KR I borrowed a CO meter from the local garage, and an allen key and had it set in 10 mins, and that was only as the meter was half knackered...

Could also be a dodgy sensor. If you've got VAG COM, you can check the ECU temp sensor against the dash one. While you're changing the thermostat, you might want to look at a new thermostat housing too. You don't want the engine running that cool. It will probably run on the cold starting map if the coolant is below 70 degrees, which causes the engine to run rich. This decreases fuel economy, and damages your engine in the long term.

Pretty much any belt or bearing supplier will be able to supply you with a belt given the numbers you have quoted. I don't know any in Ireland, but try your local agricultural machinery dealer, they should know a reputable company.

Definitely get a new one and a new timing belt. Can't remember the exact price, but they are somewhere around £30ish I think.

Standard vag disks and pads, or perhaps mintex 1144 pads. Might go vag disks and 1144s all round on my VR if I can find someone selling the pads...

Try searching for lupo wipers or tt wipers, there's even a sticky in the exterior section. There's loads of info on this if you do use the search.

Pretty sure the G60 filter should have a hex on the bottom to undo it. I've only ever done one g60 filter change though.

Bonjour. Good to meet you today. Just realised what's happening with the plenum chamber while pootling round on the tractor. It's not expanding, it's simply going back to it's original size... The vaccum with the throttle butterfly closed is enough to sort of suck it flat, when you open the throttle it opens back up... Nice party trick... :) -

It was quite calmly. There's another 4 weeks to go before the gates are due to be fitted, and I didn't really want them buggering the car up any more than normal in that time... Then I'll burn them!

Mine just packed up and I found a blown 15a fuse in the middle of the box. Not got a replacement so I can't be sure it's that one though...
