  1. Wow fitted the febi nozzles and new pipework tonight and massive improvement. Old nozzles were really gunked up. Going to bin them.
  2. I too will make the effort. Am sure nothing else can go wrong with the car.
  3. Might try another Black one in mine. Think I only looked at Blue. Might explain the popping exhaust.
  4. I always thought the pre 2001 rule they have at the moment is a bit odd and i have been waiting for them to come up with some way of charging £400 to tax a corrado vr6 and i reckon this will be it.
  5. Clips at the top should have a bit in the middle as well, have seen them broken off before.
  6. I thought its also the same as a t4 transporter wheel bearing
  7. Just been told that VW now say the front wheel bearings are obsolete. Had car booked into a garage to do a front wheel bearing and they have had to order a SRN or SNR one instead. Anyone else encountered this?
  8. The poorboys natural look interior stuff is great, was recommended to me by people on here and i love it.
  9. I always start with caliper furthest away from the master cylinder, then get nearer.
  10. I actually have a dashcam/GPS kit nowadays, so that records everything that goes on, even when parked. Might put it to the test tomorrow as its going for MOT, but i trust the garage. One of mechanics there is who i bought the corrado from.
  11. No one could drive my car worse than me. So I try not to worry.
  12. I don't know the part number but must be a way of finding out. Do you use vagcat? Has none of the above suggestions helped? Been thinking of cleaning my isv as my idle is a bit rough. But not lumpy.
  13. Just temp fixed mine with that quik steel putty. Doesn't look pretty and can't adjust it. But will do until I get new ones.
  14. I think the full name is mattig dtm cups. We got there between us all
  15. Fitted a new pump, wouldn't buy the chinese ebay one again, pain in the arse. Ordered some nozzles as well, but again, cheapy non heated ones.
  16. Fitted new alternator yesterday and solved the issue. The other alternator sounded/felt a bit grindy when i spun it by hand. Didn't need to remove the front end or jack the engine up. Like Kev says it came out though the gap left by removing headlight/grill. Removed a 120a which must be larger as it was extremely tight getting it out and the 90a went in with ease. Removed air box and belt tensioner.
  17. Just that i saw a FEBI complete timing kit and wondered if its ok or just best to use VW parts and pay usually about twice as much money
  18. Mine went on fine and still work great, they were the TT arms, didn't need to bend or trim anything.
  19. Do they cost a lot from VW? Is there a complete kit you can buy, so both chains, tensioners and the guides? Seen a FEBI version, are they decent enough to use? Even that is around £200
  20. VW do a complete clutch kit, includes the bearings etc Some people have replaced the metal arm in gearbox and a little spring, but i took mine off after about 200k and put it back on as was nothing wrong with it. Would be a good time to inspect your timing chain tensioners and guides (i have presumed your talking about a VR6)
  21. The top bit on pic just clips to the reflector. And the white bit in the middle with the rubber washer fits to the black plastic of headlight casing. Should be three gaps where the lugs on that middle white plastic bit goes in then you have to twist it to lock in place. They are really tight gits though. I've snapped loads of those fins off over the years.
  22. Sod the search. Its crap. You'll find 80page threads you could spend 10hrs reading. To just reply "use the search" isn't very helpful and I don't know if you're genuinely suggesting it or fed up making the effort.
  23. Wing mirrors look like a dtm type. But is a few makes iirc
  24. Guy at works wife has a PT cruiser that they are getting rid of soon. Think its a 2.0 petrol. Could ask for details, is in Harlow essex though.
