    Thats all the parts i have so far, from Pat Mcrotch thread, what am i missing and what do use from the car? Am confused about: Immobiliser ring, steering lock, ignition switch, some metal sleeve that needs prying out, lock housing. lock barrel a spring mentioned from polo setup Also what parts of the list with question marks next to them do i have?

    I always suggest to do what you want to do while you own the car, no point keeping or building something just because some guy in the future might prefer it. I would rather enjoy mine now then think about future resale values, its only a shell with bits fixed to it at the end of the day and all these picky owners we consider are actually ourselves

    Is there a proper way to setup the track rods when changing the rack, built mine up but know the rod lengths are wrong. Which one doesn't adjust and is there a length it should be from factory? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

    Will show some piccys of repair once its done, my laptop has been taken over by a virus so having trouble getting all my photos etc. SO anyone know if i should do anything with the ABS system?

    Mine was from the filter at rear of car, the metal clamps around fuel line had rusted away. Another thing my local garage failed to find out. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

    luckily its all underneath the car/sill and all going to be covered up with underseal again. do i just disconnect any wires from the ABS or does it not matter?

    yeah them plates are part of the subframe, the smaller bolt, think its the middle one of the three is what connects the bush brackets for the ARB. Taken all my subframe off so its quite an easy job, but looking at it i could see it being pretty awkward with the subframe on the car

    Got a mate coming to weld my sill this weekend. Its the drivers side and right at the bottom front corner. The battery has been removed, but is there anything else i should do? Does the ABS ecu need disconnecting? Was probably going to pull the carpet up inside the car just in case.

    Go on ebay and buy citric acid powder instead. Much cheaper than deox and the same thing. I got all my hubs and stuff soaking as I type. Minimal effort mess and cost. Stuff comes up great after some soaking and a wire brush Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

    I put a Stanley blade each side of the bit on the cap, then use pilers, should spread the pressure and stop it breaking off. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk 2

    I have mine off the car at the moment so will have a look how it is inside, i know its open and can gain access to it. The original subframe does have visible welding etc, so might not be as bad as you think
