Took off all the plastic tubing about can coke diameter, goes to the thottle body part of inlet. Have always had a very oily engine and just assumed it was coming from rocker gasket, but was quite a bit of oil in the end of plastic tube and looked like it had been running out of there somewhere. Is that normal for oil to be in there? Don't some people modify something here? oil breather?

thinking of going back to my standard airbox, have a BMC on for ages now, also got a magnex but never heard the car without the BMC and just the exhaust, might try it out when car is back on the road. can't say i've noticed any negative effects from it though, not like sticking a big cone on my 1.4 corsa and ending up with flat spots but a cool noise :lol: -
It'll be fine, any little holes are easy fixed and covered up again with new underseal, still not got round to doing my underseal but figured i'm just going to sort it out in patches rather than try to strip it all off at once.

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-990-fuchs-titan-xtr-10w-40-high-performance-semi-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx Thats the oil i've been using in my VR, did use a more expensive one for a while but it didn't justify paying the extra money, especially as mine drops alot of oil at the moment Also had Beru leads for 2-3yrs ish and no problems, but they are just black ones not red. I know some of the "uprated" leads are thicker and don't sit in the plastic grooves too well.

i have the halfords pro ones. Not used them much though, but seem to of worked, deffo need two of them. Think halfords actually have 3 but i can't remember what the 3rd one was.

i'd be up for a pair of late front wings, but would paint them rather than have the polished carbon look.

i alson going to need some of these after cutting mine, saved a couple but assumed they would be easy to source

i've heard this before, something about not sealing the paint with wax/sealant too soon after a respray, not sure how true it is though

Dreading sorting mine out, don't know what is wrong with mine but MOT guy has let it pass for 5yrs without the light even coming on, all i know is my dash bulb has been cut out and the wire on top of brake fluid bottle under bonnet isn't attached. quite tempted to remove it all, whats it like without any?

what are the waffle pads like, what make? am thinking of getting one. Do you use anything else after power gloss? as its quite a heavy cut if i'm thinking right

my local garage does that, i've sheared all the bolts on the balljoint and had to get the dremel out and cut through a couple of nuts, they only put them on a couple of years ago ---------- Post added at 01:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:11 PM ---------- thats good news then :)

Been sorting out the old paperwork with car and came across this one. Was reading the bentley manual the other day and it mentioned about being room to recut the thread and VW supply a longer subframe bolt. Seems like this has already happened on my car, bit concerned this make cause problems as i'm about to remove the subframe and heard its quite likely the bolts will be stuck or break?
