Typical, it was only a week or so ago i found out my exhaust was still the original and i've been raving on about how its lasted 176,000miles..... Noticed car has been running hotter than normal, randomally looked under car this morning and the big box at the back is nearly hitting the floor on one side. So i guess now i have the daunting task of finding a new exhaust, i'll probably get an aftermarket one as they work out cheaper i imagine.

i've nearly stuck RS badges or similar on mine just to confuse people, but i decided against it

i've always thought that the storms have too many badges on the rear, looks like too much of an after thought i'd probably leave the VR6 off too. i've found most people don't know the difference between a g60, a storm and a vr6

my clutch has a judder too sometimes, but its old. whats weird is my dads new audi a3 had it, when you reverse up the drive in the morning, its been to audi loads and they couldn't find anything, and the chaps from audi have come here to see if its our driveway at fault :lol:

i find silver normally looks better and the car appears to have more class with silver wheels. also i don't like when peoples wheels are a nice shade of black but the tyres are old grey/brown etc Black wheels on a black car works well, if its a mean looking car :dorky:

10mins of ripping things off and the supra would be a nice car, i've always wanted either a supra or a skyline -
careful not to scratch up all the clear face of the cluster as your trying to get it out (or in) i did this to mine and wasn't too chuffed with myself after wards

weird? i've still not got round to checking mine out yet, but have been looking underneath each time i start it and no signs of anything now my neighbour who has worked for audi/vw for years said something about an overflow feature, but i don't get why or how?

i'm in the same situation, same suspension KW v1. I think it can only be the geometry on mine, i've changed everything else, apart from steering rack. unless its somehow related to an engine mount or sub frame mountings, i really don't know

blast the foam off with the hose/jetwash, don't rub it around with a sponge. the idea is that the foam collects all the harsh dirt particles so you don't rub them into the paint

this is like a stream pouring out, like i say it formed a puddle over a 1 metre in diameter and that was in less than 20secs

well i did book it into garage for them to check it, so i hope i don't find anything. If i do then it confirms how useless these people are :lol: i think i might just change the filter anyway while i'm there

annoyingly i bought some wiper blade treatment stuff the other day and tried it out, my wipers are terrible now, they keep sticking to the screen and judder about :lol: typical, its like they are too clean if thats possible, too sticky

its a funny game tbh, there seems to be a new trend in washing your car too much or "detailing" as they call it :lol: i remember as a kid watching my dad wash the cars with 1 bucket, a sponge that was falling to pieces and fairy liquid :lol: then at the end you throw the bucket of dirty water over the car.

nice one, ill check that out, am sure i get wafts of petrol sometimes from looking underneath it was dripping off the fuel filter housing, but can't tell if it coming from that or if there's anything above that.

no point in washing before the foam. foam should be the 1st thing to touch a dirty car, then blast it off, then wash it. clay gets rid of all the tiny specks of crap, road tar, old bits of tyre, grit etc, makes a real difference when you come to applying and removing the polish, wax etc

i use a Foam gun, followed by a hand wash with if the car is pretty dirty wash, but recently i've been using this optimum no rinse stuff, where you don't need to get the hose pipe out, just 2 gallons of water (not suitable for a very dirty car though) Products i would recommend: -Chemicals Guys Maxi Suds 2 shampoo -A clay bar -Autoglym Super Resin Polish -Autoglym HD Wax or a Collinite Wax -Optimum No rinse Probably best spending the money on cloths and applicators rather than a mountain of products that all do more or less the same job (hate to think how much stuff i've got and hardly use) there's epic amount of discussion on detailingworld about what to use and how to use it etc
