  1. just collect the TT wipers, and got them home, they look super lovely. But there appears to be no splined bit in the hole? i've never had new arms before so it may be that they come like this? ^^^ just a smooth hole in last pic, does clamping it onto the car create the splines?
  2. well i didn't think it was a concours entry
  3. i've not seen the halfords clips, but you can get hose friendly jubilee clips, with a rounded/beveled edge to them and the inside face is totally smooth so nothing chews the hose as you tighten it
  4. its almost as quality as the authentic timber garage doors
  5. just ordered the TT arms and blades, came to £105. pick them up friday, do the standard caps that cover the nuts fit them? didn't think to order them till i left
  6. theres something that seems to change how the front end sits? mine is too low, and others are too high
  7. any update on this mate, did they arrive?
  8. yeah, i've read lots of people saying they can rub and be noisy when parking :(
  9. amazing car!!!! nothing to say but wow
  10. sure looked an ugly beast at 0:36 in
  11. this video on youtube has quite a few development pics in it http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=cLb0OUi3Cwg
  12. but they state a minimum drop of -40 or -45mm i think, which has proved too much with two sets of springs already
  13. i think this may be the way forward, maybe won't look as good visually, but should be more how it was designed to be. i guess the suspension revision from early to late was done for a reason by VW maybe some bigger wheels would help fill the arches without causing too many issues
  14. so if i have standard springs and shocks and lowering caps you reckon the wishbones should be ok?
  15. i've heard of these before, but never seen one or known anyone to use them? i've decided to change suspension again on my car, the ride is total crap basically and i'm really sick of it  :bad-words: i was thinking if i bought standard VW suspension and used lowering caps as they do a small drop, -15mm/20mm something like that. i've tried two sets of -40mm and they drop the front way more than 40mm, the back is fine, exactly how i want it, its just the front is too low, which is mucking up my geometery and i think giving me the back handling. i want to buy some new bits, take it to stealth and have them fit everything and set it all up how it should be
  16. what about the wishbones? if the TRE are at an angle that needs fixing, surely your wishbones are worse?
  17. pi springs, they the only ones i could find that worked with late spring plates, i,e: the small diameter something is deffo shit, my car is terrible to drive, one of the brand new vag wishbones with bushes failed big time already and been replaced
  18. so the space saver does fit over 288;s :! i didn't know that much  i have a spare speedline, whats this carpet you speak of?
  19. has anyone got pics of there wishbones etc, with car on the wheels/ground etc am going to get under mine and check it out, see if its worth changing suspension (again)
  20. i know i typed it all a bit quickly  i've found that since i now have brakes that work well, when i'm coming up to a junction (quite slowly) and i'm braking, when i hit a little bump the front locks up and the abs kicks in etc
  21. i've been thinking all my handling problems are to do with the wishbone angle on mine, -40mm springs seemed to be a massive drop from how it was, but the rear seems much more like -40mm to me. am thinking of fitting some -20mm springs to the front, if anyone makes them. but after having the 288 brakes fitted i notice that coming to a stop and hitting a bump the front end locks up really easily
