Has anyone used these guys for work on their Corrado? i see they advertise in PVW magazine each month, and was think to take car there to get them to check out all the steering gear, rack, camber setting, 4 wheel alignment etc, they a bit nearer than stealth tuning

pic of the log book i think the guy is thinking of keeping this, and getting it running, an mot etc then look into selling it. like i say its never been up to me what happens to it, i just been helping found out what its worth, and what it is

been on the phone to chap with this scirrocco, he dug out log book and that says its a storm? i've not seen this, but thats what he is saying? i think i will join a scirocco forum or something to investigate

thats what i was going to ask, is there any way of finding out its history, what model it is etc, i have the reg plate and can look at and numbers on the car

the wheels are really fab condition i couldn't believe that, much better than my 12yr old ones :lol:

i'm his mate he is on about :lol: i went to see it again yesterday, now its out of workshop and had a quick wash, would come up very nice with a proper polish/detail. also appears to be dragon green? i can't see any evidence of a respray unless its been taken back to bare shell engine, full of leafs and dust but everything is solid, no signs of a crash and minimal rust in fact all the bodywork seems quite tidy he isn't sure what to do with it now, i think he has cottoned on to the fact its worth a little bit of money to the right buyer, it may be going on ebay as is, or he may sort out a few bits first and sell it as a working car

well i couldn't seem to get a decent fit using the early spring plate and late top mount, the late plate and late mount totalled about 2" overall height, the early plate and late mount came out over 4" high and early plate and early mount also seemed too high to me, not a very tight fit. so i'm going to get Pi springs and fit late plates and late mounts, hopefully this will fit a bit more snuggly, also i have some strange noises when turning which i can only put down to the mounts/plates arrangement

i've decided to change to Pi springs now :lol: so if anyone is interested in some weitec springs let me know, they only been on car for a few hundred miles

should i just drop it off at stealth racing? they are just over 100miles from me, so would have to get train home or something? has anyone with dodgy steering used them and had a result?

yes its when driving straight, seems ok while turning. i had the tracking done but local garage couldn't do camber, should i find someone that can do that? may just get them to fit different top mounts/springs while they at it

are Pi springs ok? i spose there's only one way to find out :lol: can i buy springs in pairs?

i have late top mounts and early ones at home, earlys are on car the weitec springs had a larger diameter coil at the top so late spring plate just fell through, so used early plates, then found i also need early mounts. i want a spring that i can use late plates & late mounts with, as the arrangement of the early stuff doesn't seem right to me

am interested in this thread as my suspension isn't right, did you have to use the old style top mounts?

after fitting the weitec kit on my 1995 corrado and having to use the old style top mounts, i've decided i don't like the arrange, looked crap as it went on and the new top mounts seem a far better arrangement. what springs can i buy to replace the fronts with and that work with late top mounts? i have the weitect shocks and presume any spring should fit these?

is more that something feels loose to me and has some play, i hope it isn't the rack but not sure what else it could be tbh

right chaps, i've got all this fitted and the dodgy steering is still there, over bumps and cambers its a mini fight to keep straight is it worth me taking car to a specialist now? getting sick of it

it looks like my suspension is coming off again then :lol: thanks for the offer (chap in harlow) but i already had a go last night and got some odd results only had a socket and the nut tightened a bit then started turning everything with it as i didn't have an allen key, went for a drive and had some horrid noises, lots of twanging etc, so came home and tried to slacken them off but it wouldn't, the whole lot just spun the other way, but its made the noise go away when driving im tempted to find other springs that fit with later top mounts

i'm waiting for a 22mm socket to arrive then i'm going to investigate, am sure they didn't do it straight after suspnension was fitted and handling seems better but still a bit of a fight with the front end plus i seem to of knackered a wheel bearing somehow, hasn't been on car long?

i need your brakes :lol: i know i asked about this before, will have a re-read, because brakes are next on my list

i too think of this as one of my favs, its the one i always look at and think i'd like mine like that :) best colour too 8) my effots so far

this is what happened shortly before my thermostat housing totally bust and dropped all the coolant. would be fine sometimes, missing water another?? i think when it was getting hot it would leak or the other way round. i could see white around the pipe going to the housing

are there any decent pics of these wipers on a C?

its the weitec one, like i say i'm not sure what its doing as fitted suspension and all new steering parts at same time. another little thing i've noticed :lol: the brass coloured plate with nut in the middle spins around quite easily by hand is that right? am sure it didn't do it when suspension was first fitted handling still seems a little scary sometimes, its fine up to 60mph, then cornering at 80mph is quite unsettled
