  1. right, i've phoned every halfords in the UK and got some mates on the case and we have now pre-ordered enough oil to get every set of free screwdrivers that are availiable, so no point trying now. ill be selling the screwdrivers on ebay soon, so you can earn me money instead of getting yourself a deal.. disclaimer *i haven't really but i bet some cheap cnuts are thinking about it* like with the cheap socket sets
  2. wow, i was literally about to go and buy oil from halfords?
  3. get an evo bonnet vent smoothed in, non functional of course  grill sprayed? rear numberplate plastic surround sprayed? tbh there isn't much to do on a corrado, they very well designed and come pretty darn colour coded already.
  4. aren't they made from large extractor fans? i have all the bits at home to make one, but haven't i didn't buy the bits to make one, i had it for other stuff before someone says anything
  5. where does this "pure sex rado" name come from? cracks me up
  6. i tried some of that AG extra gloss protection, its really odd, like water almost, does this act like a wax in terms of repelling water etc?
  7. Brilliant stuff guys, just what i need. Thanks i had droplinks done a little while ago by a garage, didn't really make any difference to car. But at least i know they are new i'll chap tonight armed with this new info and get him to order these other bits, i have a week off work the week after next, so really need to have everything ready to go the rack mounting bush is this something that wears? whatabout engine and subframe mounts, as iirc all this need undoing to get to the rack?
  8. i'm struggling here, i'm don't know too much about the car. Meant to be fitting suspension and renewing the steering but every time i want to start i find out there is something else i need to order. Its been a month now, and my suspension is actually dripping stuff onto the ground below. i know i been making posts all over the place, but really now need some definate answers/lists, so please help  i'm willing to turn all the info gathered into a decent guide etc for future reference, (maybe we can get rid of some of the 30+ pages threads) :D here's my list so far (typed this so many times now) i mainly need to know all the bits that are worth replacing while car is apart -Springs & shocks all round = these came with top plates, do i need to buy new bumpstops and covers from VW? -Rear ARB and bushes/fixings = is there some bushes on the front ARB that can be replaced? -Track rods & ends, = found out i need steering grease and new rubber boots, think thats covered now. -Top Mounts & bearing (front), is there a similar thing on the rear? -Front Wishbones (i think these come with bushes) are there similar components on the rear? -Front Ball joints - again is there anything similar on the rear? i may be fitting a new steering rack, have to check it out first, so obviously car is going to be in a good state to replace anything else that is accessible while doing all these other bits, my local garage don't seem to want to know unless its something hanging off/broken, i don't think they understand how i want the car, they more of a "keep you on the road" kinda garage
  9. i still blame woman tbh, the amount i come across driving down the middle of narrow roads and not attempting to move over a little when your coming the other way, get forced into hedges/mud etc, they don't even slow down maybe its just where i live, the woman are stay at home lonely types, the husbands all work away in london all week, so only woman around i guess  my neighbour has a ford galaxy and its got more battle wounds than Bruce willis in die hard
  10. i bet its a woman about 35yrs, two kids, no job, shops at sainsburys and is middle class with a husband who works in retail  i don't stereotype  if its a people carrier, they the worst drivers on the road, woman in 4x4's and people carriers, they can't drive a small car well even, why on earth give them something big, it really annoys me how they just drive off :x some woman banged her door into my car only yesterday, because she must of parked too close and couldn't get out of car :x
  11. RX7 was a nice car, i not a fan of the RX8, too many people have them and think they are gods gift. although there is a mazdaspeed one???? something like that, with kit and spoiler local to me that is very nice looking, its blue
  12. well a decent set of storm alloys just went for £60, i paid £60 for a set of speedlines (albeit i got stitched up) as they turned out to be bent, buckled, flat and crap :(
  13. aren't the engine only good for 70,000ish miles?
  14. i had one on mine and it didn't have a hole in the glass, i just slid some fishing line under it and kinda sawed it off
  15. the halfords professional range are good, they also have a lifetime guarantee. i'm still confused as what to buy tho, reading things makes it seem like you need 3 different ones
  16. they are already in the car, they came with it, i just want to take them out so i can clean under them, treat all the leather properly and wash the headlining/clean windscreen a bit easier. i might try and stop a few of the squeaks and rattles too
  17. I've not looked around the car yet to figure this out, it may be simple, other cars i've done it too, its just a case of two bolts then the seat slides out. is it the same on corrado, i have leather recaros, heated and electric, is there anything i need to be aware of/careful with when attempting this?
  18. stickiflex or tigerseal i think
  19. and there's me thinking it was silly driving with the door open
  20. was shocking to see how much difference there was :! the pic they showed from above with red and blue lines showing how deformed the cars were scary :! i still intend not to crash tho
  21. most of them have pretty decent rims too, which is more than i can say for a lot of UK ones
