What do you actually need to remap a car? Is it a program you can buy and tinker yourself? Reason i ask is my other car, Audi A3 TDI has been having a couple of small issues, i've fixed them but also fitted an EGR delete kit, but now i have a engine management on constantly. Apparently a remapped can fix it for about £70 during a remap, remap is about £300-400.

I did do, but decided to stick to the original instead, is there much benefit? If I did buy one now do I need to get it balanced or anything like that?
-
Few more bits done, although most bits just trail fitted before i fit them properly. Have worked out all the hose clip sizes as well, i will make a new thread for them. Fitted the gruvenparts crack pipe, clean the hole of any corrosion, no problem here  Just chucking the parts on now really.

1995 (M Reg) Corrado VR6 Breaking - Updated with Pictures
Jim Bowen replied to P3rks's topic in Cars for Breaking
Am considering getting a debt collector to sort this out. So if I could get as many names and amounts owed as possible I can pass the whole debt on. I am not prepared to lose £350 and starting to get quite annoyed about this. Just want the money back now. -

Could try a thread chaser or I just keep winding the bolt in and out with a bit of wd40 if it's stiff.

They should be a m10x1. So not sure why they don't fit. Is it the same on both calipers? Could the problem be with the thread in caliper?

I enjoy the discussion

Have tried phoning him, no answer, just sent a text off giving him a week to either get bits to me or send me a refund. Can we make a list of who has paid money and is still waiting. Just add your name to the list below: (copy and paste etc) 1. Jim Bowen - £350, ABS system and Oil catch can -
That's my seats. I was impressed with the results. Maybe why they don't seem any different when I do them.

Fitted the timing and cam cover(had all these aqua blasted, pretty pleased with the results. Fitted the Gruvenparts fuel hose clips Had to fit a 19mm core plug into the head, as its a US spec head and has this hole for the secondary air intake. Then fitted the flywheel, Used new bolts this time! My crank locking device  works well.

I've still got nothing. Beginning to feel ripped off now. Will be finding his address shortly. -
Thanks. I have been thinking if my corrado does get eaten by rust I can always keep the engine for another one in the future.

I was using mine for about 50miles a day so probably didn't help. Could only leave it about 12hrs before having to drive to work.

from what i learnt while deciding on leather care, cleaning on a regular basis is the best thing you can do. Most leather products are a sealed leather so won't really absorb these creams like they tell you. Also not all of a car interior is real leather, a lot of it will be vinyl. I found a lot of the conditioners just sit on top of the leather and any difference is temporary, you seem to end up with smelly clothes and a slippy seat for a couple of weeks. Have used the meguiars stuff, the gliptone kit, a kit from the furniture clinic and now using some german stuff which is a sort of cleaner/conditioner in one, Seems to remove more dirt than any other i've used, i'm just struggling to find a link or remember what its called. Tbh i think they are all very similar, little and often is the best approach.
