    Cheap wheels?

Am i right in thinking this advert is for a set of 4 rims including delivery? Have seen a lot of cheap wheels being advertised these days. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LENSO-BSX-MINI-VR6-CORRADO-GOLF-POLO-MK1-2-3-4-5-6-7-BBS-RS-STYLE-ALLOY-WHEELS-/191125819505?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item2c7ffc9071 Not sure i'd buy them
  2. Has been a bit strange on my phone since the end of last week, all the text not displayed properly, so haven't been able to use forum much at weekend. I did assume something was up with the forum. Seems fine now i'm on a proper pc.
  3. I buy them and throw them in the bin to help keep prices up. Melted down a few shrick inlets last week.
  4. I'd be interested to see how some of the shell looks under the wings wondering if golf bits could be used to repair areas of corrado chassis. With a bit of cutting and welding of course. Mainly where sill meets the bottom of A pillar.
  5. Seems ok to me. People tend to be busier in the warmer months.
  6. I think a lot of the youtube cars are decatted or silly exhausts. As standard they don't sound anything like that. Also the miltek exhausts used to have an option of resonated or non-resonated. A BMC CDA air filter makes it much louder
  7. Bit of an Update: Corrado is now off the road again. Am thinking there's no point rushing it to get it done this year, so looking at next year now. Have been collecting lots of parts recently and am waiting to fit: -New engine (not rebuilding one, will be mostly new parts, new block, new pistons, new ancillaries, new timing gear etc) -New clutch -recon gearbox -Fixed steering column mod -Dave16v short shifter -Teves20 Abs system -Set of Roose hoses with new clips -Got to treat some rust again -Slimline fans -Oil Catch can Seems to of quickly added up to £3-4k in parts, paying stealth to build the bottom end only, i'll try and do the rest of the work. Have been stripping lots of metal parts and repainting them, dropping off all the alloy engine covers etc this weekend for aquablasting. Am hoping this will be the last lot of work for a while (but never works that way with a corrado) I can only think of a handful of parts that i haven't renewed now, one being the fuel pump. Bodywork is going to be the only part to let it down, but not respraying it yet, its one of those things where i know it won't be 100% perfect unless its stripped right down to almost a bare shell. Plus i think if i went to that extreme i would get too protective of it. Quite happy for it to look ok from 6yds away.
  8. No, i think you would struggle with ants due to the size of them. I would try to lure them onto a sugar cube and then remotely pick that up.
  9. its not great loss i can use the other one to pick up small beetles or sugar cubes from a distance
  10. ordered the one you linked from amazon now
  11. I wonder if PlastiDip would do it, might not last forever but easy to take off and reapply, would also be matt finish.
  12. I must admit i've been going elsewhere these days, its cheaper, i know you do price match but i shouldn't need to muck about with that each time. Last item i wanted was Castrol FST 5w30 Fully synthetic for an Audi A3 TDI and you were quite a bit more expensive, i remember buying oil for the corrado in the past and then finding it cheaper elsewhere. Just felt a bit miffed as you have all these offers for club members and special savings, but unless your shopping around and comparing prices it would be quite easy to feel mislead and overpay.
  13. Got the remote action hose clip pliers yesterday. Wouldn't recommend them. A) They don't open wide enough to fit the larger clips (so rad hoses, thermostat hoses etc, They only really fit the ones about 1 inch diameter B) Not much strength to them, can't generate enough force to open the thicker clips. Going to buy the other ones now
  14. If everyone only used the search to answer questions the forum would eventually fade out. We almost need to go through the forum and compile "Corrado - The ultimate Guide" Like when a member passes away or leaves the forum, all their knowledge is floating around somewhere on here, would be a shame to lose it all. I know we have the wiki thing, but a nice manual by the owners would be cool. I might start one.
  15. I still think they only made the 2.9 to make it sound more appealing to customers than the golf, otherwise everyone would of moaned about it just being a golf engine.
  16. I need a new cap for my 1995 vr6, although am about to buy a teves20 ABS system so wonder if that has its own cap?
  17. Am about to replace my 2.9 with an 2.8, mainly because someone was selling brand new AAA blocks. Am going to use corrado inlet etc and also the 263 cams, so hoping it will be similar or more power than the standard 2.9 lump.
  18. I never use sealant on the sump gasket.
  19. I love corrados  "Something hit me in the leg" only corrado. I suppose it's better than having your face burnt off by the heater matrix.
  20. I did i think  Thats what i was told and after talking to Vince when i dropped my engine off, i'm sure thats what he was also saying to me. I have a set of long and a set of the short bolts. But only ever seen thick rubber gaskets.
  21. Someone is or was selling the gaskets on ebay, new dealer stuff, been tempted to buy them but don't really need any more
  22. Whats the black textured canister mounted near aux water pump? Also, whats the deal with the upgraded brake stuff, i have 288mm fronts and mk4 rears? Interested to know more about the rest etc.
  23. Was thinking of buying the whole pulley set from them. Was just the other day I was looking. But decided against it in the end. Which was nice. I bought a new ina tensioner and it came with a plastic pulley which doesn't look as decent as the original.
  24. Late rubber one. I don't know if brand matters. Am going to use a victor reinz one on my new engine. Make sure you have the longer bolts. Some used a thinner gasket and had shorter bolts.
  25. The POR15 stuff is the toughest paint I've used. Out of all the different stuff I've used it's the one that's lasted best. Just don't use it on bodywork imo. Really hard to wet sand before paint.
