  1. the bike def throttles back, probably shat himself when he saw the tornado hurtle past the corner of his eye! i've nearly binned it when a bee flies by never mind a f-n jet fighter!
  2. it looks like there's a sensor thingy under the thermostat, is that one of 'em? got two wires going to it, looks a bit like the sensor that's attached to the top of the water bottle. (i've read that back & it barely makes sense!) bit of guidance please?
  3. i'll have a spadge at dinner time to see if i can see them, if not i'll back on asking more stupid questions no doubt! if i can find them i'll have a bash at changing them this weekend.
  4. my temperature gauge is starting to get a bit temperamental so i thought i'd change the two sensors as its the cheapest place to start. according to europarts there is a blue one & a black one, where are these situated on the vr6 engine? cheers guys,
  5. seen a couple of new corrados in the north east, saw a n reg valver (possibly black) on kells lane in low fell. looked well tidy. just saw a silver c on the tyne bridge (monday 27th feb) looked like it had bbs wheels on from a distance but guessing so poss a g60?
  6. maybe they're ex company cars, door to door knife salesman or even travelling hairdressers. that belt would keep all your knives & scissors etc nice & sharp! that's just silly though, who would do such a dangerous thing as sharpening knifes in a car?
  7. saw a red c near the newcastle end of the coast rd at about 8-30am friday 10th feb. just caught a glimpse of it as i drove past.
  8. that's another question i was going to ask, meant to do a search but forgot & as you've just mentioned it. why is it so expensive to get the chains replaced? mines at 98k so it's probably due but i read another thread that said that people panic over them & they don't need replaced as ofter as you think?
  9. it's not that bad tbh but i'm one of these fussy people who likes everything to be as it should, i really annoy myself! think i've got a touch of ocd. anyway i've got a mate having a look at it next week so hopefully he'll sort it for me. thanks for the help guys, you all told me what i kinda knew/feared.
  10. think i'd better get her booked in for a check up, it'll be sods law it'll be the most expensive thing that needs replacing!
  11. who thought up these names, inspector clouseau? lol
  12. my new one's the same colour as above LK4Z blackberry or is it bramble? still prefer ice gay though now sadly sold :(
  13. yeah that would've been handy to know especially as i've just spent nearly 300 quid getting the brakes sorted out! you live & learn.
  14. not sure, only had the car just over a week but i'll look into that.
  15. just after a bit help coz i'm slightly worried about my clutch, first of all, do vr's generally have heavy clutches? my clutch is pretty stiff when you press it down, best way to describe it is if any of you have drove sciroccos it's that kind of stiff. my valver has a lovely light clutch so that's why i'm concerned. also there's a slight judder when pulling away, this happened in my valver just b4 xmas & then the slave cylinder went shortly afterwards. any help or advise would be great. cheers, garry
  16. i've got a real mixed bag in my autochanger, hard-fi rob thomas (ex matchbox 20) the darkness (love dinner lady arms) new gorillaz cd living in a box (for fxxks sake!) kane (dodgy dutch rock band) ac/dc horse (dodgy scotish lesbo) glen campbell (very calming when your stuck in traffic) green day also a few compilation md's with all sorts of crap on! do i get owt for the most diverse taste in music?
  17. unlucky mate, could've been worse i suppose! but then again it could've been better!!! bad crack the bloke with no insurance got the same punishment, there's just no rule of thumb on these things so your totally at the judges mercy.
  18. out with the old in with the new! few more pics after been freshly polished. couple of pics of the old valver too, sadly sold! :( wish i could afford to keep both.
  19. favouritest colour bar none, looks absolutely stunning! WANT IT NOW!
  20. i'm hoping to start doing a few modifications once i've got the cash from the sale of my valver. been lucky with this one coz it's already got a good sound system & an induction kit & powerflow exhaust. i think it's been dropped using lowering springs but i don't like the ride as it's too harsh so i'll be looking into new shocks & springs to get a better ride quality. also i want to colour code a de-badged grill to see how that looks & the stone chips sorting on the bonnet. ill be ordering a wiring loom to improve the headlights soon so i've got a bit to do to keep me busy.
  21. cheers guys, well chuffed with it. would've loved a ice grey violet vr but they are proper rare & i do love the colour of this one (now) so i'm a happy chappy. looking forward to saturday so i can drive it in the sunshine (fingers crossed) coz i've only driven to & from work in the dark! :(
  22. just a few pics of my new c, finally got a vr after months of indecision! still getting used to the colour after my ice grey violet valver. much prefer the black interior though, much nicer! i'll post up some more pics when i get the chance & the spec. i will say it's got an induction kit & a powerflow exhaust so it sounds un-fxxkin-believable!!!! its purple too which is handy! not the bestest pics (mobile phone) i'll take some better ones at the weekend specs, blackberry LK4Z? 98k with fvwsh, thousands of pounds of reciepts! 17" momo alloys with goodyear tyres k&n induction kit & powerflow exhaust de-badged grill sony mini disc head & 10 changer cd dropped 25mm (i think) everything works too!!
  23. watched one of those george romero zombie films on saturday night & they drive a lush silver mk1 rocco in the shopping mall, flattened a few zombies with it too!
  24. my case was finally heard 19th december, got a 10 day ban & a 200 quid fine! was well pleased with that, the ban takes effect from that day so make sure you have someone to drive you back just in case! acting humble is def the thing to do, i went all suited & booted & basically kissed a lot of arse & apologised a million times! i told them i needed my licence for my job (told them i was a sales rep) & tbh they were really fair & took into account my company closed for xmas so they banned me over xmas which was great coz i was drunk from the 22nd to the 28th!!! good luck anyway mate, hope it goes well.
