Well spent the other Friday at Ray West Tuning at finish my remap on my G60. The before figures were 185 BHP on the rolling road, the after figures are shown in the pic. The Spec of my car is :- Ported & Flowed Head Ported and Matched Exhaust Manifold Ported Throttle Body No Cat Full Miltek Stage 4 Charger Standard Injectors Audi RS Intercooler & Lupo Wipers (BHP?) Ray is a helpful and very skilled mechanic who even after i tried to break some of his fingers by shutting the bonnet on his hand kept working on my car. All in all I am well happy, the car is much more responsive at low revs and scares the C**p out of me at accelerating past 3k. And to my astonishment the fuel economy is just as good. Even though I have developed a club right foot and an analogue throttle pedal. Vids Added http://www.fastpurple.co.uk/corrado/vids/woody/ Cheers Woody

Steve, when i was renewing my brembo's disks and pads after the accident the local GSF told me that 305's (Ibiza Cupra R) could only be bought from Seat Direct. Was i being wound up, as it was they were no more expensive than Badger 5 for the replacement parts

I had this on my G60. Had my standard G60 brakes (golf mk2 design) changed for Alloy Mk4 ones. I do not know whether you can do the same kind of conversion for a VR Cheers Woody

Cant beat it, i have had the JMR tooth belt drive for about a year now and it always the first thing that people comment on.

A bigger garage to store all the bits i need to keep mine going, and be able to put the car away at night.

Does not matter what they look like or whether you get paid for the journey, just imagine your face when the pissed person throws up all over your leather. " Thanks for that Sir/Miss that will be £50 for the taxi and £1500 for a leather retrim at MJ's" Cheers Woody

I did not thnink you could get the bonnet early foam anymore

Sorry Should have explained better, The problem was nothing to do with any previous work JMR had done. The problem on my car was one of the VW standard pulleys had snapped off leaving most of the thread in the bracket, which the charger is held onto. it required john to use my dodgy set of toys tools because I did not give him enough info. The car had broken down round my girlfriends house in the open and it pi**ed it down most of the time JMR was there.

The new ones sit fush to the bumper edge and the older ones sat about an inch in also in the back of my mind the connecotrs are different( might be fogs, not sure), I think VW found out they wre onto a good thing if they moved them flush to the bumper as more would get broken and chipped - Parts department anyone

At the end of the day I would not trust my C to anyone else, John has made my car into what is it today from a very tired negelcted G60. Whenever i have had a problem he has enabled me to get round it or in the one last winter when a pulley bolt snapped off in the bracket, john came down on a sunday who 2 hours notice, 150 mile round trip and fixed it for me 5 hours labour and did not charge me a penny including travel. There are not many specialists who would do that. Just my 2 pennies worth.

No help with part number but there were two types available a while ago, but when i went to repair the back of my early seats i found that the steeler could only get me the VR6 version which incorporates the seat back foam as well as the shoulder bits and sides. After taking my early seats apart i found that i could not incorporate the seat back foam as the early seats the foam slots into a pocket and is not attached to the rest. So what i did was carefully cut out the seat back foam, slide it into the pocket and use the rest as you should. I am sure there is a guide on here somewhere Just give the steeler a ring he will rub his hands with glee when you tell him what you want, I seem to remember is was about £50 Cheers Woody

The sensor in the header tank has gone faulty i beleive, I have had this happen to me. Check the wiring to it althrough it means a new header tank from VW. + point though it will be easier to chack the level with a new header tank I found that if I drove the car for a bit and then turned off , then started it up again it would be fine.

I also have to use the VW jack, get the car up a bit and then insert the trolley jack. Had to do it thisa way since i fitted 17" and FK Koni sus

As long as the 20% is not the parts department or I wont be able to keep my car serviced at Porsche parts prices.

JMR (16vg60) was taking one off a corrado last week. He had the tow bar and bracket and a bumper which had been modded to make it work. He might still have them in his garage.

The only reason that was done was to allow more room behind the grill to allow more air in the engine bay

My kiddie-wink sits in a baby seat in the back of my C. It all depends on whether the kiddie will sit in a seat which uses the normal seat belt accross the child (3 years and over) or whther the seat attaches to the seat belt and then the seat has a harness within it. I have the second and you have to watch out for the leather.

Was this recall valve a dealer recall. If so could some look up on the part number for me. Thanks Woody

Update when i move the slider from cold to hot I get a sudden blast of warm air then it goes cold again and stays cold. There is no dampness in the passenger side footwell. Where abouts is this pipe from the engine bay to the heater matrix? I do not seem to be losing any fluid the level in the expansion tank is the same.

I am getting no warm air when a position the slider on hot. The air blows ok but it is stone cold. Any ideas anybody!!
