christ you sure? mines like 95 there well speedo read 80ish but my wheel/tyre profile is out so is more like 70. was the first time i've actually taken my new engine to that rev range and only took the old one that far a few times to.normally pop it in 4th so im around 4-5krpm ish which stills give enough torque the fez and G60 were on the old engine whereas the others were on the new one. Leaving the mazda for dead accelerating in 3rd with stainless exhaust and drilled airbox going was prob the best fun i've had in the C so far. -

well i've been blitzed by a Porsche :D struggled to get past a 1.25 16v fez though i was trying to bring it back in 3rd from 30mph uphill. o and i got dicked by a G60 golf off a r/b .lol although i didnt even bother trying as i knew what would happen. Triumphs are battering a Mazda 2.0L 16v 353f (think thats the model) and a Saxo VTR. Managed to hold an R32 partly due to slower cars on the road and me doing 70 in 3rd at 7000rpm. -

thats a slapping offence, no corrado should be allowed to just die. bring it round my house and i'll pop a new lump in it like mine which is more spritly than it was before now. -
pinched this pick of another forum of the Corrado Roadster concept.First time i've seen it, suppose it was along the lines of the convertable, or is it the convertable with the roof on? As this car is in the Wolfsburg museum not Karmann one.

these can now be found in landough. one has been sold the green 16v has had its vr6 lump removed,is having a 2k rollcage fitted and then going for a full respray then a tt engine conversion. Is that the one that's low as feck?...I thought that was a g60 probably its down about 100mm, scrubs all over the shop........ ....just how it should be. :D -
so do i  its my wallpaper now. might get a print of it too. Hopefully get some shots with new rims at same location. Prob the best pic i've ever taken that one and the camera cost about £50. :D

job all done now, started 9am on tues got old engine out by 12, had lunch, then spent about 2hrs basically rebuilding the new engine with stuff off mine that was ok such as newish water pump and starter motor, everything back in and slam panel, bumpers ,lights, etc by half 8, one snag the rotor arm on the distributor had snapped except for that she would have been running that eve by then though we were to knackered to really care. so on weds finished work at half 4, dash down to gsf which is only 5 mins from work. They then scare me as the only rotor arm listed is for a vr6 then they find one phew. so part on everything re-checked. new oil, collant and powersteering fluid, first click of key not much had to let fuel get into system then she fires up beautifully, for about a few mins then booooooooooom 5 litres of oil on the floor.panick attack! had put the new oil cooler on upside down doh! so bit of fiddling new oil bit of a coolant top up re-check and she starts up again and all is sweet, had to re-wire a few sensors as we put them in wrong way and stuff, 1 min job and job complete. one engine swap in 12hrs. no real problems few rounded bolts but as we basically had 3 engines to work off parts were readily available. and she now sounds abit meaner with the drilled airbox........... .............in 9 days time she'll be rolling on new rims to. when your bank account is dry just remember mastercard :D
-
found where they all went anyway by using an etka diagram, looks like 2 had been in the wrong place since i bought the car though! as for conversion all done and running sweet.
-
just did straight 16v engine. the plug comes out of the wing. and theres a small hose that come out of the engine side of the airbox, both have no home at the moment, then there is a small hose missing that goes into one of the 2 pipes in the underside of the airbox bit by the throttle body.
-
can some one with etka or pics of there airbox post them up if poss, when doing engine conversion today, ended up with a blue 5 pin plug that seems to have no-where to go and have lost one of the small hoses that goes into on eof the 2 pipes on the the hose that goes into the throttle body. as for conversion all done and dusted within 10hrs (yes me and my mate are completely wasted and every bone hurts like buggery).only snag was the rotor arm snapped when taking it off my lump as it had been glued on and gsf had closed by then so have to wait till tmrw to get one,put it on,fill up coolant, oil and gearbox oil and off we go.
-
update.... parts needed were picked up this morn, rental van picked up got the engine i mean engines yes the guy chucked in another 16v lump which will be stripped for anything useful (ebay here i come), both engines are now at a mates house, van will be dropped off at half 8 tmrw morn and transplant on the go around 9.
