Mine uses a bit, probably 1 litre every 2-3k, i'm trying some Silkolene oil on my next oil change to see if it'll reduce consumption. (Happy birthday Dave! :) )
-
I think the 1litre every 1k is a maximum oil usage figure. I'd say it's a bit much really...

Talc, that's sweet, I do like grey a lot. I take it that's a retrim, where was it done/how much etc.?

I think this was posted up a while ago and we all voted for Corrado until it was subzero, then got bored!
-
Depends on what colour your C is, i'd go all red dude (see my gallery). :)
-
Looking good mate, Corrados come up so well with a good clean! Just need to sort out that splitter...
-
24V Renshaw, aye that's a good point.... smug 24v bastards! NickVR6, i'll make the effort to try and get to a meet of some sort this summer, or you could some down to one of our SW meets?! :)

Very nice, I really like blackberry as well. :thumbleft:

The dealers?! Got a feeling they aren't cheap though and a bit of a hassle to fit...
-
Thanks guys. :) I was thinking about a remap but moneys tight now and i'd be better saving that for if I supercharge it in a year or two... ;) VR6, originally total cost for parts was £220 but hopefully i'll get most of that back when I sell the stuff that came off. Turned out the OBD2 lambda was knackered though so Vince fitted a brand new one @ £70 + VAT, so about £300 for parts in the end. Then Vince charged me £500 (+VAT) for labour although I think he put a lot more than 12 hours into it in the end what with all the loom issues.

Try a search mate, few examples here... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23999 http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26728 http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16141

Yeah it'll be the weather strip bit that butts up against the window. It is a common problem for it to warp. Water should fall through though assuming the holes in the bottom aren't blocked. Don't think anyone has sorted out the weather strip problem yet, do a search.

I was overfueling before so my 29MPG reading on the way up is under what it should be. Before the overfueling started (and everything was ok) I never saw anything like 38MPG though... 34MPG at the most. And as I say, I wasn't hanging around either! :D I would reccommend OBD2.

Can't imagine i'll be repeating it for a while! Also big thanks to kev for his continued advice on the OBR2-D2 subject & bigpants baby for supplying me with the kit, and my mum fo.... :)

Just got home from picking up the car. She's all fully OBD2'd up and I have to say i'm loving it! The idle is rock solid on 600, revs drop smoothly when coming off the gas and doesn't fluctuate up and down at all. The power delivery seems to be even smoother and more consistent through the rev range. I would say there is slightly more power but not a lot in it. No stalling at all, everytihng just seems so much more controlled. It feels like a newer car. The economy is dramatically different. On the way up to Stealth 2 weeks ago I got 29MPG on the MFA for the whole trip (remember it was overfueling as well). On the trip back down just now I got 38.5MPG!!!! + I was in a jam near bristol for 30mins not even moving! So it seems to be about 30% more economic than it was before. Which means in roughly 10-15k miles it will have paid from itself (roughly ;) ). I reckon if I hadn't sat in the jam I would have seen 40MPG which is pretty much unknown territory for a VR, also bear in mind I was 'testing' the engine very much for the first hours drive... and it was a 4 hour motorway stint. :) So all in all i'm pretty happy, engine bay looks nice and tidy, Stealth have deffo done a good (if a little late!) job and Vince seemed confident that everything was col with the car. Engine bay pics coming soon... Finally a big thankyou to Jim for picking me up from Leamington station and driving me to Stealth, he made the day a hell of a lot easier and it's much appreciated. IMO it's people giving up time for each other to help that makes this such a good commmunity. :D

Looks sweet, spitting image of mine (from the outside anyway!) and amazing that we live so close! My girlfriend has driven past you on a number of occasions but i'm yet to see ya! Are you coming to the Cornwall meet on 23rd? Would be great to get some pictures of mine & yours next to each other!

That is because you drive through service stations like a nutter!

Now that is irritating. Almost worse than getting none! Hope the other one turns up soon mate... -
AFAIK you can already do that on all Corrados. Turn on the intermittent wiper then go straight back off again, now wait until you need another wipe and switch it back on & leave it this time. It remembers the gap that you set and repeats it. Hope that's clear! I think it's anything from about 3-20sec the pause can be.
