  1. I have the same ones except I have green stitching round the edge. They look good Phil, mine seem to be pretty hard wearing.
  2. He must have a lot of money to: A. Afford a Ford GT B. Employ a whole team of 'Vinces' to fit twin turbochargers to it!

    coilovers ??

Hello, Basic difference is that Coilovers are a single unit which include the damper with the spring encircling it, because they one piece it means that often you can adjust the height of them and therefor the height of your car. Alternatively you can buy the shock (damper) & springs seperately and match them for your specific needs. Coilovers are considered to be better because of the way they handle load. You can get some great shock/spring setups as well though but they ar not height adjustable. Coilovers are usually more expensive. I'd check out the Suspension discussion Thread for more info. Hope that helps.
  4. Interesting bit of kit, we need pics!
  5. I like it, nice clean look. I agree with Chris on the pale grey background. Also I still think that picture of your C is slightly out of focus so i'd change that as well. ;) :thumbleft:
  6. Another vote for Meg's stuff, cleaned my car with the NXT shampoo then scratch x followed by the NXT wax yesterday. It's so shiny now that in bright sunlight you can't even tell what colour it is! :)
  7. I think he means this little beastie...
  8. That's exactly it, once you're on the open road you rarely need to come out of 4th/5th gear. The VR will pull in 5th gear from as little as 30mph... :)

    problem?

BJ replacements shouldn't cost much glen, or you could DIY it? You'll need to get it alligned again though.

So that means 60% water then... :)

    red rear lights

You could just about do it over the weekend, you need 2 days.
  13. Ah well it seems in some cases the MFA is pretty accurate then :)
  14. I love the phonecall he has with his missus!!! We've all had exactly that call before!
  15. Dub_nut_g60, is that actually a real world figure or are you working it out from your displayed MPG? I've done tests and by my estimates (on a VR anyway) the you need to deduct about 11% so 33.3MPG is infact about 30MPG. Other folks results have comfirmed this... Since getting the OBD2 my average MPG is 35.5 (yep on a VR :) ) It actually works out to be about 32MPG though.
  16. 8 Gallons should get you somewhere around 200 miles (@ 25mpg), but that's from 1/2 full to completely empty. In real world terms you probably wouldn't do more than 150 in fear of running out of fuel!

    Coolant

Yup, you'll need 2 bottles to fill a VR from empty.
  18. Souds about right, although VR's complete with chargers have come up on ebay in the past. Generally people aren't willing to pay the extra 1.5-2k so you can get a pretty good deal... but they don't come up that often.
  19. Well maybe you guys should all come to the (possible) Stealth RR day...
  20. Phil K, I do love the styling on that, what's the model no.?

    red rear lights

Wiki Article. As long as you take your time and don't skimp on the stuff needed to do the job this is easily done and quite satisfying! :)
  22. Probably better post in the all new Car Care Forum then.......
  23. Hmm... that's not good. I wouldn't of expected caller display to work anyway (would be a bonus though!). I guess the most important thing is that it connects easily and solidly - hey, it would still be fun turning your car into a giant phone! :)
  24. That pioneer one is tasty, I like the bluetoothyness.
