  1. Nice car :) I've got a mystic blue corrado, would love one with 50k miles though!
  2. How's the plastic panel (number 40 in the pic) held onto the boot lid? Clips? Screws? Can't really tell from ETKA - Is item 43 what hold it on, or is that just a number plate fixing screw? :?
  3. Had these links sent to me today from my bro in law. He was after parts for his auto mazda mx6, and apparently his phone hasnt stopped ringing from breakers offering him parts Might be of use to some people http://www.247spares.co.uk http://overture.find-a-part.com

    Tailored Mats

Yeah I got a set of these from my sis for xmas, very nice. But they're actually £25 + VAT. And when you throw in delivery I think its around £40 They were giving free delivery for orders over £50
  5. You guys have no taste :D It looks miles better than the ugly mk4 front end! :-P
  6. Found this on my PC, originally I got it off VW Vortex about 2 years back I reckon this is how VW should have made the mk4 8) I dont think its a photoshop jobby - does anyone have any more pics of it?
  7. Arent these the people who kept using Jedi Knight's pics in their adverts without permission? :?
  8. My VW dealer told me it would cost about £40 to get the key re-coded (Apparently they've got to get the codes from Milton Keynes head office, and they expire after 24 hours??!?! ) But you mentioned your key was solid? If it's got a transponder in it, I'm pretty sure you should be able to prise the key apart - I can with mine anyway.. :?
  9. Sounds like what I had - a dodgy transponder in your key perhaps Have you got a spare key? Try it with that, see if it starts
  10. Yeah probably best to grin and bear it, but if you want to see what your options are (if any  ) try looking here
  11. Just realised it's on at 7 tonight instead of 8 :-P
  12. Seems interesting Would this work with a late VR6 - the one with 1 diagnostic port? Do you know if this reader comes with a cable, or gives as much output as VAG-COM?
  13. I've got a Logic900. Get it jump started to make sure it is the battery that's causing the problems and not something else. I had similar problems 2 weeks ago
  14. I think they were going for £515 including delivery a few months back, ClubVR6 group buy I certainly wouldnt mind some at that price!
  15. Hmm ST220... I had some baseball-cap-wearing chav right up my arse a couple of weeks ago.. He certainly couldnt keep up with the VR6, but whenever we stopped at a roundabout he'd try to make a point of it by getting within inches of my bumper  He eventually had enough of seeing my badge and decided to overtake me and the car in front, narrowly avoiding an oncoming car :silly:
  16. My car used to come from the Nottingham area, was serviced by the "Lion Garage" chain - They've got a website somewhere, seem like they know their stuff
  17. Okay this is what I did. - Uninstall / reinstall - I didnt rename any of my files - I added http://127.0.0.1 to Internet Explorer's 'Trusted Sites' list - Run the app, and it works 8) *To add http://127.0.0.1 to the trusted sites list (Internet Explorer), Click Tools > Internet Options > Security then click on the 'Trusted Sites' icon. Press the 'Sites' button just below it, and add http://127.0.0.1 to the list Works for me when it's in my trusted sites, and it doesnt if I remove it. I'm using an AMD XP machine, but I dont see what difference it makes if you have a P4 :?
  18. Hmm... I had problems getting this to work last week too. I unsinstalled/reinstalled it, and it now works perfectly  I'm using XP pro with IE6
  19. After all that, it turns out it was the battery   Goes to show, it's usually the most obvious thing  Car now starts up straight away. I would have thought leaving the old battery on a charger for a full 24 hours would have topped it up, but I guess not. New battery cost less than £55, Bosh Silver from GSF. I'm sure the Halfrauds ones were about £70
  20. Yeah, I still reckon it's the starter motor, but I may as well get a new battery seeing as I dont know when it was put in the car :| At least once I've bought the new battery I can rule it out as being the culprit :D
  21. The battery is a 'low maintenance' bosch silver so I cant check the water levels :| I dont know how old the thing is, so I'll definately get a new one
  22. It's 2am so you probably wont get a reply til the morning
  23. *Update* I was gonna jump start it last night, but I didnt even need to... I thought I may as well try starting the car up one last time, and lo and behold, it started! Admittedly, the starter moater really groaned and took several turns before it fired up, but it did start  So know I'm back at square 1 - was it cold weather (i.e. damp) that affected the starter motor? Was it a dodgy battery? Even though the battery was fully charged... I might just go and buy a new battery just for the hell of it, so at least I can rule that out :|
  24. Okay thanks for that I'll give it a bash
  25. Yes, back to the thread topic please  I cant bear to be VR6-less much longer  I'll try and jump start it tonight, maybe test the starter motor to see if its getting any current
