    Wheel Refurbishers

I have just rang them before posting on here. They want £108 per wheel !!!!!!!!!!! I thought this was a tad high !!!
  2. Chaps hi, I am needing some wheels refurbished. Anyone able to recommend anyone ? Local to me - Banbury in Oxfordshire ? Can't remember who I used a few years back for a set of speedlines - Aylesbury way, although would prefer closer. cheers in advance
  3. Umm, actually agree its done on a Wednesday I believe. This Sunday however, was JC and gang at JapFest Last year, so I am led to believe. Not that I would have remembered to watch it, despite being a rare one i would quite like to see. My other car is a 350Z !!!
  4. The petition is to reinstate JC with no - one knowing the full story. I would be happier if it were to show the last 3 episodes of Top Gear and the petition was for this.
  5. Of course she meant JC !!!! Just checking you all read posts !!!! :-)
  6. Not watched it for years, due to TG, can't stand the man. Shame as it was a good show. Liking the idea of Chris Evans take over though
  7. Good venue choice Eric. Just............. rather unlikley I am going to be able to make it. If anything changes though I will be there.
  8. I have - just ragged it around Southam and area. Well Chris asked me to keep an eye on it, seemed only right to check her on the road too !!! Thought I would wait for some heavy snow, to check how well it handles then. Will report back !! :-) Older chap at Stealth - is Graham (and owns Stealth) and he owns the TT

    Pistonheads

Usual thing - if someone values it higher enough - they will pay. You only need one buyer.
  10. And Stonor please. I think we filled all the spots last year. Some may prefer a better position, closer to the main area ? ! For me - I was happy being a bit further out, but not fussed either.
  11. Really interesting read this to see how everyone deals with the noise of neighbours and the responses. Although not loud in the scheme of things, I was concerned about the noise of my Corrado with its Miltek exhaust running idle on the drive, so I don't do it, but just drive the car (Normally - Oh yes I can do that !!!) under 3k revs until the oil temp is hot. Then I bought a 350z which is mental loud !! First thing I did was went to see my neighbours and apologise for the loudness of my car and advise them I would not keep that running on idle either and I don't. If I am having a load of Corrado or other car friends over when we will all want to be running our cars to get them warm before we venture off - I advise the neighbours beforehand. In my case this has worked very well. They will on occassion take the mickey about the noise - which is fine. On the other side of alll this - some of my neighbours have dogs that randomly bark for no reason and it drives me to distration - especially when I can hear them all times of day and night while sat inside my house !!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I will often not have any sound on in my house, and windows will be open. Even if the windows are closed though, I can still hear them. I would not mind if the dogs barked for a reason, but they bark at birds, at the odd sound of life etc etc. I started some 8 years or so ago, approaching said neighbours and politely explained - Their dogs were disturbing me. They said they had them in Training lessons and it would improve. This developed to resulting in 3 years ago, I approached them again - pointing out this was unacceptable to continue and asked why they did not use many of the gadgets that are on the market to quieten their dogs and be considerate to their neighbours. I was properly shouted and swore at and told it was not their fault. I had to accept I lived next door to dogs and that they bark !!!!!!!!!! I was also told - why did I not keep a diary and report them. My reply - I was keeping a diary !!! The look of shock on their faces was brilliant and to this day - it has been considerably quieter !!! Completly unknown to me at the time, they had masses of other neighbours complain about their dogs too. Funny and interesting world we live in...........
  12. I would also say keep the Corrado if at all possible. You know the car and like many probably want to return if you sell it. I was needing something different, so early in 2013 I bought a 350Z. As mentioned above, it is a brilliant car and quite an animal and good fun. I would certainly suggest taking one for a Test drive. I am not finding my 2005 plate too pricey to run either. I did not sell my corrado having watched numerous folk over the years do this and then return. I just knew I would not want another Corrado but mine and was lucky enough to not need the money from it. Now I am so glad I did this. Since the 350z purchase I am using both cars about equally. Just need a Winter runaround now !!! The Corrado is in for a re-spray early Feb. Good Luck in your hunting and purchase.
  13. So what are your thoughts on Matty's idea of using Magnetic strip when replacing them. So everytime you wash the car you can remove them and ensure it is dry before replacing them ?
  14. Clive hi - Sent private email. Cheers. Wendy
  15. OMG - Not good. You realise everyone who does not use their car that often has instantly gone to check their car too now ? Presuming the mice also though the taste quite rare too !! Looking on the positive side - as you say - it did start. Good Luck in finding the replacements.
  16. Julian - You are a star - Thank you
  17. Charlie hi, I so nearly did not do this this evening either !!! I thought I would post on here first before I made an idiot of myself at VW Heritage using differing terms and waving hands to describe parts that that cannot see at the end of the phoneor Internet !! My roof strips are not that old, so fingers crossed they will survive, same with sill guards and hopefully the Door rubber (Protectors) - although these (the latter) are the ones I am most concerned about. Seals that run around the windows - eek - OMG I won't be having any holidays for years after this lot !!!!!!!!!!!!! I will keep in touch regarding parts I find, spares available etc and hopefully save us both doing the same work.
  18. Chris - Can't say it didn't cross my mind to just nick the sunroof cables from yours especially. I mean who said you sunroof was working ok when you brought it in !!! :-) I do not believe I need door seals. I have a tendancy to agree the sill guard (that sounds better)is plastic - Do these come off OK ? All that is wriong with mine is it has lifted and I have a small amount of rust where this has happened.
  19. Come on then Matty - What you got, that you are going to let me have and pay for - of course ?? !!! This is a right ball ache for me - I really don't know how you chaps have the patience for all of this and I know in the scheme of things I am not needing much. Thanks for all the replies so far
  20. Certainly an option Jim. Has anyone purchased from these guys or have any of these on their Corrado and be happy to recommend them ?
  21. Sean182, Thanks for the reply and advise/direction. I managed to get a sunroof seal from VW new !!! Roof Strips - mine are not that old - but just bervous if they get damaged being taken off, Same with Door rubbers and sills. I will leave it a day or two just incase I can prise new items out of anyone storing items on here, then go to VW Heritage. Seems like the sunroof is going to be the bug bear. Fingers crossed.
  22. Dickie hi, W Would you mind listing exactly what parts you have, if new, or what condition and price required please. Email here, or PM is fine. Also when are you looking at coming to Oxford ? I am actually near Banbury and not you are in Northampton, so I could always collect anyway. Cheers Wendy
  23. Hi all, My car is in for a respray early Feb and there are some items I am needing. Anyone have any of these or can point me in the right direction to obtain them. There are all obselete from VW dealers. I have been advised to go to VW Heritage if you chaps cannot help. If anything I have listed is quoted incorrectly, I would appreciate it being pointed out too. Thanks in advance. Wendy I have a 1996 VR6 1/ Window Scrappers both Near and Offside I believe the dealers call them Window aperature seals and have parts numbers N/S - 837473A01C O/S - 535837474A01C 2/ Roof Strips - Both required - Don't know part numbers 3/ Both Offside and Nearside Door Sill Rubbers - The bit you step over so maybe Step not sill ?? !! 4/ Door Strips (Protectors ) Front section N/S 5358535032BC O/S 5358535042BC - On Front Wing Middle Section N/S 5358535152BC O/S 5358535162BC - On Doors Rear Section N/S 5358535372BC O/S 5358535382BC - Rear Panel 5/ Sunroof Cables - Don't know part number Would consider good condition 2nd hand ones of these. 6/ O/S Wing Indicator - Again 2nd hand in good condition is fine Just incase anyone needs a Sunroof Seal - VW have 47 in Stock !!! Cheers Wendy

    Rubbish Parts !!!

Not sure at the moment.Wait to check if the 350 needs anything - as its MOT is due. Then I can think of what parts for the VR. Thing is - mine is parked in the garage so the handbrake never goes on in there, only when parking elsewhere. So not been an issue. Yours - not this time - Might be tempted to write a message in the dust though !!!!! :-) Seriously running for cover !!
