  1. This company (or a very similar one) was on Watchdog last year, they had undercover reporters working for them that exposed what a complete load of b*llocks it all is. Apparantly some people have sold cars with them but they are in a TINY minority, the buyers they supposedly have don't exist.
  2. yup the bottom ones are the better of the two
  3. They must have all migrated up from the south west, there's all of 2 within 60 miles of me, and 5 withing 100 miles
  4. Go here click on English, then cam pulleys in the window that pops up
  5. :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: :pukeright: AAAH MY EYES!!!!! There should be a warning on this thread! Feckin 'ell, all of them (except maybe the silver one) are disgusting .... especially that 'thing' with the golf headlights ... the creator of that crime should be shot!
  6. So cool :afro: and yet so cheesy at the same time
  7. Just to echo what everyone else has said ... hope you get better soon Chris, sounds like a right b*stard!
  8. cheers bcstudent, that is one awesome collection of machines in his garage! 8) He hasn't even driven the Carrera GT yet  ... Makes me sick!
  9. The 16v Corrado is group 17 and you're 20, it'll be worth getting an online quote to make sure it's not stupidly expensive. Also forgot to mention mine needs the engine mounts, gearbox mount and rear beam bushes replacing pretty soon, if you get a rado that's not had all the bushes/mounts done it's going to need them replaced sooner rather than later.
  10. Tyres are dead cheap (with 15" rims) because of the common size (195/50/15), though the life of tyres and brake pads depends on how you drive. If you can get a good example the running costs aren't anything to be worried about. I've had mine just under a year now and appart from two services the only money I've HAD to spend was on a section of the exhaust. Insurance is the real b*stard!
  11. Page 1 of Jay's feature is upside down but other than that it's all good! It would be nice if you could see bigger versions when you click on the pics in the project section, it's difficult to appreciate how much work has gone into these cars from such small pics but I can appreciate that it would take a LOT of time to sort that
  12. Answer to 12 is morris minor
  13. I'll tell you what you need if you tell me what I need....
  14. stuck on 47 :x (Can't get 15 or the model of 5) you're right Chris, somebody at mtv must have been reading this forum a few months back!
  15. I've left my previous cars open a few times but fortunately there isn't really any crime down here so nothings ever been stolen from it. Don't need to worry about it now though, the alarm on the rado locks the doors and sets itself automatically ... which is nice
  16. That'll probably have been a B8, 4.6 V8 (based on the 540i engine) in an E36 chassis, very nice, very rare! Mmmmmm 350NM (of 470NM) of torque available at 1000rpm :D
  17. Personally I'd have an Alpina B3 3.2 over an M3, not quite as powerful (~260bhp) but far more exclusive and less likely to have spent its life getting raced around.
  18. You'll have to do something about the rear light cluster if you get a 968, I followed one home the other day and they just looked cheap and nasty!
  19. well imo the original 156 looks good from all angles (especially the gta)
  20. Have a look on the web for RPM Porsche (specialist), they have a price list for the general things, and a nice looking '87 turbo in stock. The rubber spoiler can always be replaced with a 968 style one
  21. I know a bloke who owned one about 10 years ago, when I was considering getting one (not the turbo) I asked what the running costs were like and he said they were very reasonable if you go to a porker specialist. Great cars though, iirc it won 'what car' best handling car of the year in about 1986, and are very reliable if you can find one that's been looked after properly. It was the image that put me off in the end though, they've not aged particularly well and will always be known as the poor mans Porsche.
  22. Holy crap that looks nasty!!! It always amazes me that people manage to come away from something like that relatively unharmed
