They can do pretty much anything up 1.5 degrees negative or postitive and they can also do toe in or out up to 1.5 degrees. If you go and see him he'll talk you through how it use them.

Yep, I got mine from Stealth today, Vince did them for £15 for a pair.

Yep use that Haynes book for a Golf 2 for most of the stuff at the front and then Passat for the rear, you can easily get away with just the Golf one though. I can reccomend the Bentley manual although it doesn't cover any of the 16v engines.
-
Have you had a look using the search? There's load of stuff on sunroofs.
-
Ta for that, I managed to get myself a charger by the way Andy.

Do you mean one of the cogs on the heaterbox by the passenger footwell? If so: You will have to remove the lower panel under the glovebox, and then carefully wedge a screwdriver underneath the cog and it should pop out. I haven't tried gluing one back together before, it may be easier to go to the scrappers and get one off some VAG car of the similar year - loads of models use them, they are obsolete from VW by the way.

Cheers, just PM'ed him

Which model TVR is it that fit again? early griffith wasn't it?

I set my camber using a spirit level sounds rather cowboy, but it seems to work really well the handling feels spot on.

Yeh it's where i said it was just been for a look on a G60 block in my garage, on this pic it's been cleaned down - it's still quite hard to read though!
-
It's on a machined down flat part of the block. it's on the top right hand corner of the oil filter side (i think) where the block meets the head, the earlier ones are stamped on in bold figures and the later one's use a strange almost braille style lettering.

WHICH KEY QUESTIONS should be asked when buying an ENGINE
jonny-5 replied to belfastfumanchu's topic in Engine Bay
Ask what happend to the car it came from, if it was in an accident ask what sort of accident. My top tip: It's probably best to steer clear of one that was rolled as when an engine is upside down the oil pump often does not have enough pressure behind it to keep everthing sufficiently lubricated leading to damage. -
Bonus! got it for free

Well i've sort of got it to work and found out what most of the parts are from apart from one: 811 907 384 I think its got to be an ignition timing ecu of some sort, can anyone help?
-
When it comes up with the main screen (the one with all the models down the right hand side) the only options available on the functions button are: enter part number order form transmission code engine code settings of IT page select language paint codes standard hardware
-
If i have a part number but i don't know anything about the vehicle it came from, how could i find out? I know you can use the ATP function but that's only available on the illustration pages.
-
Thanks very much
-
Yeh i found the add by using the search, where did you get them originally?
-
Where's the best place to get a set of these from? if any one can give a part number for reference too that would be ace.

You could use an air gun to undo them, if you don't have go to a garage and ask nicely if they'd losen them and then carefully drive back (done that before too!).
-
What engine is it?
-
I'll be like mine i guess, with electric everything else except windows?! For the elecrtics i found this page on clubgti, it makes things very easy indeed - you can even use the feeds for the electric mirrors to make it even easier! The hardest part is unattaching the mechanism from the door as rivets are used so it requires a spot of drilling.

Not sure about Konis but for standard ones i use a 22mm socket that i ground flats on so i can hold it still with a spanner, then i use an allen key through the socket and hold the top of that with mole grips. Dunno if thats any good to you but it might give you a clue.
