Just dug out my old invoice from VAG for the ignition switch and it's down as £17.81. It's part number 357 905 865. i think you can also get them from GSF too. BTW i think that when the ignition switch has gone nothing at all happens when you turn the key, can't quite remeber tho. As far as the lhd drive switch i'm pretty sure it would fit.

There's loads of old threads about it somewhere. i think i paid something like 25p for the resistor iirc

i dunno if it's just me but i hate taking my car to a garage, even MOT's!

No probs, doesn't it feel so much better when you do the job your self?
-
Yeh thats what i meant, give it a go and let us know how you get on

Check that the CV is on the right way round because on one side there is chamfer that allows the clip to seat correctly. As for the piece of pipe to press it on just use a socket that the right size to fit over the end of the shaft to push it down. Hope this helps

That's what i thought, just a rumour i once heard

I once heard of a transit van where someone had cut a hole in the rear floor plan and stuck in a Honda black bird engine! They even painted on some brown paint to look like rust.

Has anyone cut down their 90mm spoiler? - done it

It's not flimsy at all, i must have cut off a good 40mm - you have to have a good set of cutters mind it's quite tough. -

I cut my 90mm up the other day, just got some tin snips and started cuttin', as long as you cut an even amount off all the way round it's fine. You can get the 50mm ones from GPC can't remember how much tho. -
You've got to push the bulb and holder out from the connector side. Try using a screw driver and push on the connectors to push them through to the other side.

I seem to be having the same problem as you Spykee and thats after changing the springs for a brand new set twice! i know it's a bit of a bodge but i'm seriously considering hacking off a few coils!

The other bits in between should be connected to the damper rod, but i can took them up too if you want. See what i mean about the part numbers?

Hi the nuts and bolts are: Front upper bolt 101 740 01 nut 903 237 03 Couldn't find a number for the lower one Rear bolt 100 236 02 nut 900 876 02 The thing is - these part numbers don't seem right, because aren't VAG part number supposed to be 9 digits? Which bits is it you wanted from the pic below?

The other day one of the tanker drivers at work told me that Roy Keane used to have a VR6 until he wrote it off doing 140 or something. Anyway does anyone else know of any other famous corrado owners?
-
i've read some where that UK spec corrados and mk2 golfs ect do not have the accelerator pedal rubber from factory, but german ones do. Though I can hold my hand up and say i brought one of the 'mega rare' one's off ebay for about £8, then just out of curiosity i went to the dealers to check if they could get them and.....£3 (don't i feel silly?!)

thanks everyone, i can sleep easy tonight
