  1. I used Castrol Super DOT 4, i used about the whole bottle which i guess must be a litre.
  2. You'll need the '90 to '92 hoses as these use the same screw fit connector that your g60 brakes use. You wont need the hubs, as the only difference is the carriers. You can still use your existing hoses (providing the calipers are srew fit) as for fluid i used Castrol Super 'something or other' i cant remember what dot it was or how much you need but i'll find out for you. It's easy to do - i've recently done the exact same on a 1991 16v makes a big difference.

    Lock sets

The corrado and mk2 both use the same profile key (the AH) so it's all the same barrels and stuff
  4. Found this and thought it was funny, but there's no way a turbine that size can be doing anything!

    MOT failure....:(

Yeh, mine completley went as it snapped off while i was trying to adjust it, i tried to glue the thing but it weren't having it.

You can get these on there own from the dealers, i can't remeber how much they are but they're not silly money.
  7. I had something similar to this, jack up that side of the car and check for any movement and also the security of any bolts on the suspension. On mine there was only one bolt holding the ball joint mount to the wishbone! When there should be three!
  8. I have the same leak where it drips onto the speaker grill! Gunna check the sunroof drains.
  9. I can vouch for these - they're ace! Really easy to fit your self too. Great little mod.
  10. What's the name of the model in the first pic? it looks sexual.
  11. On the clubgti forum there is an FAQ in the electrical section of how to wire in electric windows without the need for relays or anything, just the switches and electric motors here's the link. Seems pretty useful.
  12. The temperature is where it should be and the thermostat has been replaced recently with a genuine one.
  13. My heater is giving me grief, i only get warm air through the vents at high speed, at nomal speeds the air is cold. What could this be a blocked pipe, bypass valves?
  14. This is a very good mod - i'm well happy quite cheap too!
  15. Thats right cos the g60 discs are 280mm and 4 stud
  16. Well i recently got a set of 280mm brakes from a mk3 gti, you just need the carriers and calipers to fit onto 16v. If your really lucky like i was you'll get some from a pre 95 which have the screw fit for the hose instead of the banjo type which means you can use the original hoses too. Mine came from the scrap yard for £20 each! But you'll need to use corrado g60 discs and pads, you can get away with 16 pads but they may need a mil or so grinding off them.
  17. You can't buy the pistons them selves as they come with the caliper, but the rebuild kit comes with the piston seals (which are an absolute swine to fit) and the boots for the slider bolts. I'll see exactly what you get with it when i pick them up tomorrow.
  18. Well for anyone who was interested they are indeed available for VAG for a very reasonable £8.49.
  19. I had a quick flick through it on WH Smiths earlier, didn't see the group thrash tho! gunna have to go back and actually buy it now.
  20. Is that the one that's filled with almost completley with mk2 golfs?
  21. I would like to rebuild some second hand calipers before i put them on the car. Do VAG sell the seals and stuff to rebuild them? If so, what do the kits consist of - pistons, bleed nipple ect.
  22. We used to use TNT at my work, during the last month they've dropped 2 race spec 2.1 pinto engines and lost 3 sets of kent cams!
  23. 357905855 B is for the whole lock cylinder that's why it'll cost you £50! Mine is a 1991 1.8 16v too.
