  1. Went out for a mates birthday last night in newcastle and saw my old g60 driving round there. It sounded awesome, miss the noise of that charger.
  2. My friend has got a mk2 golf with a g60 engine in it but running an eaton m62 charger. Hes just put another m62 on it as the 1st one had a clutch on the pulley and it was making a hell of a noise, however with the new charger on its really flat, hes going to put the old charger on and see what its like then as with my boost gauge on it was only making around 2 psi with the new charger. When its ticking over the boost gauge will read slap bang in the middle of vacuum and boost when it gets driven lightly the gauge dips in to vacuum and when its flat out the gauge will peak to like 2 psi. I thought they read vacuum at idle and as the throttle is increased it will come up to zero and then when the boost return closes to use the boost it will then start and read positive pressure. Thats how my last g60 worked and how my 20v turbo works now but his reads zero and then dips into vacuum as he applies the throttle, anbody know why? We took the boost gauge of the nipple on the back of the throttle body near where youre 1m hose comes off to go to the ecu. This is a converted car not an original g60. I dont undertand it lol :confused4: If anbody has any ideas that would be great
  3. Nah theyre not mono blocks, theyre pretty much the same as yours barring that pipe
  4. I picked up my brakes last night and they dont have this cross over pipe and there is no where to put one. Must be 2 different types of calipers :confused4:

  7. blimey mate, were you not paranoid about it getting hit with a cricket ball?
  8. ah cool , il try seat next week. the brakes need painting new dics pads and flexis hence why i want to refurb them properly. They only cost £100 quid so cant complain really
  9. I hope this way does actually work out cheaper than buying a new set lol
  10. Thanks for that benjo, i havent picked them up yet so not sure how easy theyll come to bits, alot easier after reading your write up id imagine. Il let you know about the link pipes when i know where im at with them. Cheers :notworthy:
  11. thanks grease griff that looks like the sort of thing im after. Shame hes not a bit more adventurous with the colours then id just send them off to him to do :norty:
  12. Ive just bought a cheap set of ibiza brembos for my corrado. However they do require a refurb. Im gonna get them powdercoated etc. I have searched on here and other places on the net. Does anbody know where to buy the seal kits from for the calipers? I know i could go to seat but i also know they are a fortune from them. Where else would do these reubild kits? If anbody has done thios in the past could you drop me a few pointers. Thankyou
  13. Close ish lol. I live near saltburn so i spose its not that far away.
  14. Lovely mate, i saw this parked up on scarbrorough sea front last year and it looked beauty the way it sat.

    BBS RCs + Brembos

Do the willwoods have dust seals on them? Sorry for hijacking but has anybody ever used bremsports as they are also a thinner caliper. I know the guy with the black cover car rallye from pvw used bremsports on his. I had 305 brembos on my last one and the calipers seem to be big compared to other makes
  16. ive got 16inch lensos on mine and not sure about them clearing 312 but i think it looks like mine will clear 300mm 4 pots. They arent a bad wheel tbh and suit the corrado really well
  17. I hate you. it was only sunny for 150 days in a row :( Now theres a scene i recognise. Quality car in a quality place. :D
  18. diconnected the fan switch and manually switched the fans on by shorting the live and the swiched lives on at a time. When i have the lower temp connected to the fan but with the ignition off and the swich not even shorted the fan is constantly on.
  19. I think ive found the answer: http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... rs#p851318 But surely it would be best wired to come in earlier? or link up the lives and have both?
  20. Hey everyone. Firstly im sorry i know this has been asked a million times before. I have searched but cant find the post i seem to recall with the info in it. My car has had a slimline fan fitted to it by the previous owner. I know the original ones are 2 speed. My fan is connected across the brown which will be earth and the red and black wire, does anbody know which speed setting this one is? There is also a red and white wire that isnt being used. Is there any harm in bridging the red and white wire and black and red wire so that the fan will come on no matter what. I would check at what temp its kicking in but my temp gauge doesnt work at the moment and im waiting on a set of clocks to arrrive but im taking it down south on friday.

    mixed bag of Q's

thanks cazza and johnny, think il give the ngks a go. as ive seen them mentioned for the likes of the vrt's etc. Anbody have an opinion on the coolant question lol. i know theres no right answer. But will i benefit much from changing the water for coolant. will the car run much cooler do yous reckon
  24. I want to do a coolant change on my rado. Its had a water pump and lower temp fan switch recently. I think that the temp gauge is broken so have no way of monitioring temps. Its also running a AUM 20vt engine. Ive read that a coolant change will find the niggles in the system and im going to be doing a 500 ish mile round trip in it to santapod bankholiday weekend. Do you think its a good idea to do a coolant change before i go, bearing in mind i cant monitor the temp. It doesnt appear to overheat and the fan kicks in ok im just a bit paranoid as ive only had the car a month or so and havent used it much so dont know it that well. Also im going to change the spark plugs, i found some in halfords and they were 30 quid odd i looked on the euro car parts site and there about 3 quid each. For you people running 20v motors whats the best plugs to use. Thanks :D
