Still very much interested but could do with a price for them as I'm after the rears aswell seems most people just want the fronts. I know price will vary between suppliers but I am serious about getting them.

As mentioned earlier mine spikes at 22 and holds 13. i would probably see how the final map turns out for you 1st. have you tried to read for any fault codes? -

maybe, you tired putting it in the other way round? my mate had a problem with his mk 2 20v and he did this and it sorted it for him. may be worth a try? -

Sorry this wont really help you but my car with a k03 s spikes at 22 and drops down and settles at about 13psi. Cars not hitting limp mode or anything is it? A constant 20 psi seems like a big ask 15 seems nearer the mark for a small turbo like that? -
Cool my commute is mostly a roads so should be ok then. Ive read a few instances where owners type r's have been better on fuel than there previous smaller engined cars
-
My mate bought a vx220 turbo from london and the bloke he bought it off had an s1 exige with the k20 motor in and a jackson racing charger on it, big brakes etc. Looked like a right weapon. Can anybody tell me what theyre like on fuel on a bit of a run its about 40 mile round trip to work everyday. I know theyre a performance car, dont expect 50 mpg out of it but are low 30's achievable with a light right foot.
-
Lol thanks guys, i realise there lack of urgency until the vtec kicks in yo  I just like them so its hopefully just something to potter to work in and then a bit of fun when i want it. Il still have my 20vt corrado which should make up for it. I wouldnt necessarily change the corrado for one but to have along side i think will be acceptable. Obviously as you have both said they make for a reliable car which is what im after. At the moment the peugot needs 100 quid here and a 100 quid there every other week. Ive seen one with 220,000 miles on so they must be good for that sort of milage although im keeping my eyes open for one with about 60 k on it.

Hi, firstly im sorry for even mentioning anything to do with the darkside. My corrado is off the road and is getting a bit of a refurb. Plans started off fairly small and it has escalated. Due to the bad weather i havent had much chance to get on with it. My daily is a 306 1.4 and its seen better days. Im just after something a bit newer and nicer to drive on a daily basis. Ive read all the buyers guides on the civics and a couple of my mates have had them and after being out in them I really like them. On a run it should probably return the same mpg as the pug as that doesn't seem to be very good on fuel. Does anybody have any first hand experience of these cars? Any pointers would be great. Thanks Dan

cheers rusty nuts, i think ill enjoy having a go myself. Will certainly be a good learning curve. My mate once built a mini engine in his bedroom can imagine your Mrs taking the same view as his mam - not very impressed lol. I dont think ill push my luck and just do it in the garage. Ive decided ill have a stab myself, just finished ordering some bits from america.

Hi thanks kev, Ive got an engine stand already and mine and my dads tool collection is pretty good. I dont mind rolling my sleeves up and have done everything pretty much on my last corrado barring an engine rebuild so i should be ok with the reassembly. Im always dubious about gas flowed heads unless theyre something like a cnc head which have proven gains. For all i know i could be getting my head back and its just been port matched to the gaskets and that may be somebodys version of a flowed head? The idea behind the build is so that it will support a nice turbo and manifold :norty: Still undecided werther to bore it out as the standard pistons are supposed to be ok for high 300's. but certainly everything else will be getting done. I know tuning is expensive, but me and my dad have always managed to get by by having a stab at it ourselves so when i found out how much it would be for an uprated engine build(not a particularly special one) I nearly passed out lol. Thanks again kev

I dont really know if this is the right place for this thread. Ive been looking into upgrading my 20v engine. From a particular tuning company I enquired with it was going to cost around 5000 pounds just to build the engine. There was nothing really special about the spec either it would of consisted of uprgaded rods, 0.5mm over bore forged pistons upgraded valves springs and retatiners and a "gas flowed head" with new guides etc ect. Basically reconditioning my engine with upgraded parts. Ive been on an american website and i reckon by buying the bits from there i could do it for half that. Ive never built an engine before in my life but surely taking your time and double and triple checking it should be doable. Anybody else thought twice about what it was going to cost to get the work done and had a stab them selves? £5000 is more than what i paid for my car lol

ah right yeah think the older 20vs run different management. I dont know what else to suggest mate. I know you should be able to contact him on this forum: http://www.section-5.net/ His names bft john on there and also same username on this forum : http://www.vagcars.co.uk/
