Ooh i woudn't want to use that again matey but report to ebay for sure, cheeky sod! :bad-words:

Hmm would have thought it is just an air lock then Laura so keep running it with the cap off to see if it clears. not really sure other than that but may be worth taking some coolant & water if you go on a bit of a trip anywhere. Keep a constant eye on the temp guages too.

In a word no. All cars performed with pure class. Apart from a bearing which was known about before hand. We certainly weren't gentle with them either. All cars can go wrong at some point and one there was 20 years old and that was fine too. Dont see many cars that age blasting over the mountains with a 60 year old at the wheel :-) Overall I think Corrado's are pretty reliable if looked after. Waits for Karma to do its thing. Lol! -
Yep where you been then? I've even sat in that
-
wow thats a big wash

Had my chains done at 92k, not because it needed them or the famous tensioner which was pristine condition when removed but because my clutch had gone so may as well do it anyway while they were doing the rest. As Abdul says, it does sound like a costly bill for just the clutch but i'd only take it as face value if he doesnt have an invoice for the repair and i'd certainly get it done if there are no signs of it. Dont let this put you off buying it though as if its a good example its probably best to go with that rather than a slightly tatty looking one thats had the chains done. Thats the way i'd view it anyway. Good luck. :salute:

Hi Mate, dont know the car but looks pretty tidy to me and if i was interested in a vr i'd certainly go and look if its only local. It should have a coilpack on it as dizzy models were early 92/92 VR6's As a good guide what to look out for print off the buyers guide which is on the wiki board index. Any problems you aren't sure about let me know, always happy to help out a local who needs a second oppinion

You are probably right there Laura, take a peek in the morning when its stone cold to see where the level is, does it still have a sender/warning sensor attached to let you know the level is low too? not sure on these alloy things so just curious as if it does then i'm sure it'll flash the light if the cooland is too low.

Ha ha ha! Excellent! Hope you get it sorted though matey. Bet you cacked yourself! I know I would've
-
THAT is the understatement of the year, decade, century  Get to work! I'll deal with you later lol!
-
I did say that but i dont know yet, still lots to do on the VR including full suspension overhaul back to factory spec plus rear axle refurb & bushes new front track rods drop links and i may as well get the subframe off for coating while i'm at it :cuckoo: oh and new brakes inc hoses and compensator. Not sure i can afford to do the Nugget
-
Ha Ha! no the Nugget Bay is filthy so you win  i gave a small squirt of WD40 to all connections afterwards just in case as i think it helps to displace water. You going to Harewood or Tatton this year?
-
Can only help mate :?

It did look truly smashing Chris 8) Cant help noticing the bonnet foam though when its up, sorry i'm just sad and look at these things

Very true Rob, I dont mean that by lowering it wont improve the handling I guess what I mean is standard dampers are made to work with the spring it came from the factory with and not one that lowers it 40 or 60 mm. Many years ago I read dozens of articles by respected folk like Peter Noad about lowering suspension and it seemed at the time that a lowered spring without a better damper would be a terrible ride where as the opposite like an uprated damper on original springs would improve the handling dramatically. Which is the method i chose even though it looks like a JCB  All the guys i work with though have lowered cars and they all take the micky which is fine as i know when it comes to a spirited drive cross country i know which i'd rather be in. The roads in our country are pathetic in a standard height car so god knows what it's like for you guys :gag: Tractor style or not. However i would like to lower mine just slightly if i could get away with it
-
Yeah i wouldn't fit the dash untill you are happy with the screen either, that alone would give me sleepless nights  Hang in there James it wont be long :luvlove:

Oops! another victim! heres what happened to my Lady's car. Ps, the manual you get with the car says ALWAYS leave the car in gear. Hope you get it fixed up soon buddy! viewtopic.php?f=11&t=61619&hilit=farewell&start=75

wow looking good! just need a battery cover though to tidy that bit up 8) Nice work!
-
Think 60 is way too much and will ruin the handling totally, even if the standard dampers are brand new it isn't a good move. would think a kit with uprated dampers rather than just springs would be a far better option. Really though buddy VW spent lord know's how much on getting the handling set up right with the Corrado and unless it's done right it could even be dangerous. I dont get why looks come before function if i'm honest. I must be the only person ever to buy standard VR dampers  cant wait to get them on too! :norty:

David, The ariel on the right is the same as all our late cars too so guess they swapped over design somewhere alone the line with later models.
-
Agree with Jim a bit of a pain James but ya know it's the kinda thing these cars throw at us. I know it'll be sorted real soon hopefully before Tatton park as be great to see it :luvlove:
