  1. Just because a helmet has an ANSA sticker inside it doesn't mean it's gonna be much use. Some helmets are tested to only a 7 MPH Impact and i can guess this is one of them. I'd rather not bother than wear something of that quality, if though as already said it has been reduced from £35/40 then the standard will indeed be much higher. :)
  2. Indeed, if anything I need is unavailable from vw themselves my parts guy orders it from classic parts then delivers it to me at exactly what it costs him. Some dealers just do not care about promoting this service though as see it as nit picking and hard work. :(
  3. Looking great Chris :) Must get some of mine up from the Nugget shoot too sometime & an article for the Mag.
  4. I know a guy in sheffield who has a 1.8 valver for sale £350 for the complete car, it runs and actually sounds good but no tax or mot so would need to be trailered home. Let me know if you are interested and i'll have a word. ;)
  5. Which clips? The sides or thin top piece or the spoiler mech cover?

Got one from a 94 8v matey with same size tank so i'm sure it's the same. £35 posted?
  7. I'm gonna see them again on the 18th in sheffield and if i had the money i'd have these too. Seen them 6 times now and have seen the Quadrophenia show at the Royal Albert Hall and it is a truly fantastic show. Cant wait to see it again. :)
  8. Thats a pathetic statement to make. You don't like them fine but dont drag that kinda crap into a sale thread.
  9. This the one that suits in the tank itself with the float on it? Got one if so.
  10. Glad it got there ok Phil. Many thanks. The manual actually belonged to a member on here who sadly died of cancer a while ago and the funds raised from the sale are going straight to cancer research as are the funds from the sale of his car. Many thanks. Kip
  11. No worries, i'll try and get it out today.
  12. :( Gutted for you mate but if you want me to send you the one i have to try i'll gladly do so FOC. just be nice to try one.
  13. Damn wish they were 4 stud :( a bargain for someone
  14. Yes I'd be using them anyway. It's, when a bearings has sized up or the axle has hit something hard enough to bend it that it's a problem.
  15. Hi Gus, I dont think there is a problem there mate as it's quite normal for a little corrosion from the bearing to stain/mark the stub axle. Just use a kitchen scouring pad and some WD40 to clean it up and also lots of grease on the bearings and the axle itself. kip
  16. Yeah a few more bits I could haver taken off but wanted to get shut & done ok with it really so can't complain :-) Bless it.
  17. No problem Sean. Sorry Ruggy I dont. ---------- Post added at 10:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:35 PM ---------- Still have the starter if you need it Ruggy.
  18. Last ride in the 8v :( so many parts have gone to help others so not all bad.
  19. Hi Oz, I bought something similar a couple of years ago and the reception on the radio was unbearable so removed it and threw it in the bin. Not to say this is the same though just a bit sceptical of the low cost of some goods like this where quality definitely suffers.
