I know blackhorse do them, dont know what its like, i got it free when i got a loan out once and never had to use the service (thankfully). Check them out see what they can offer.
-
I'd personally hold out for a little longer (i know its hard not to ) but you'd get another years no claims under your belt and it'll go towards a better premium for a G or a VR.

Thats what i call parking.................

Cheers kevHaywire, as mentioned in my first post it is going to be hooked up to the VAG-COM sometime next week. But wondering what it could be before i get chance to hook it up. So is it possible for the leads to short? What leads are recommended?
-
Ok ive spoken to the bloke that sold me the VR, he asked if ive checked the HT leads as they can "sometimes short out". Is this possible?
-
DRIBBLE!!!! LOVE the rims. 8) Nice looking motor

Oh and btw its a 1993 not a 1992, incase it makes any difference.
-
£30 is more expensive then buying them from the site though.
-
Halfords sell NGKs? didnt think they did.
-
and which is cheaper? On that link they were £3 odd per plug. Worked out at £26 inc delivery. Oh and which HT leads are recommended. There is champion ones on at the moment, Ive been advised that theyre shoite.
-
Cheers ill get hold of one to change the plugs.
-
Im not going to go do it, but why does a tool have to be used? P.S found the thread regarding the tool, cheers VR6Storm
-
Whats this lead removal tool?
-
Where can i get these NGK Platinums from, can i use bosch plugs?
-
Cheers bud! ill give it a go and post back when i get it done. Not for another week unfortunately? Im just hoping its nothing too serious.
-
Cheers for the response vr6storm. Yeah sorry its a 1992 VR. So fitting new plugs could fix the problem? Where can i get NGK plugs, German and Swedish? and how much?

Hi guys, Need some advice. Ive just got a VR6 and found out its misfiring. Its "ticky" and theres no power when i put my foot down, even with foot to the floor (in 3rd). When revved you can hear it back firing. Its also idling very lumpy and at aroung 500rpm maybe a tad less. It looks as though the coil pack has been replaced and the HT leads replaced, Champions, are these shoite leads? Took it to a trustworthy garage and booked it in to be hooked up to the computer. Whats the next step IF this doesnt show anything? Sorry if this is a lame question, first time ive owned or driven a VR. Cheers all!

no cos of his comment  Call it half a chufties! He should have stopped talking after he said "Ive always wanted one of these".
-
 have to agree with scarlett, it got me too! And Helen achieved exactly what she stated on the tin! Welcome to the forum and er..... good luck!:lol::lol:
-
Good theory! Or why not just attach an extractor fan to the air intake, probably more effective.
-
You spoken to your insurance about it easypops, or have you got a price from a garage to repair it? I know YOU shouldnt have to pay for it, but i doubt you'll find who's done it.
-
 any excuse to stay in the drivers seat. He'll be wanting to drive it next.
-
why do it at all!? Sorry to see that mate, especially on such a nice looking motor. You want to find whos done it and string them up!
