I have aquired 3x 1999/2001 mk4 golf 1.8t cars,anyone have a rough idea how much engines,turbos or gearboxes etc sell for? tvm

The only trouble Ive had with my set up is the epc & engine light kept coming on due to the exhast flapper valve being missing,oh & the dbw pedal having bad connection. Tis true ive only driven it 200 miles in the last 16mths :(

Lets start off,Im not trying to plug the fact that im breaking a bora 4motion with a 24v 2.8 engine,but has anyone have any ideas what the best way is to sell the engine? Is it as a complete coversion or to sell as a basic engine & to sell the other parts on seperatly?

Im having the same problem with wifeys 1995 vr6,error code is rhs rear abs sensor. Id check the resistance across the abs sensors.

I have r32 clocks in mine with a STD Corrado dash, everything works Inc petrol gauge,mfa, outside temp etc Ideally needs a surround around it

I have a complete 1995 2.9 engine,just had a tapping top end,but block ok or I have shed loads of late 2.8 engines. Your not that far awayish either

I wonder if the bearing had been fitted & its been spinning on the stub axle causing it to overheat & sieze,so it might of been greased? -
I suppose the switch was designed to be removed when the ign barrel is off the column,ie when you take out the sheer off bolts,then you can get to the screw piece of pi$$

I have a obdII dianostic code reader,but need 2x2 connection. Anyone know which wires to use from obdII to the 2x2 set up?

I had the same problem,I changed Ecu relay,ign switch etc It turned out to be a bad connection on one of the block connectors on the fusebox,drop the fusebox down,wiggle the wiring whilst turning the ign
