Sorry i forgot to mention ive tried another ign switch

Right ive been & bought a cheap storm with starting/running problems,the prob being its turning over ok,no spark or fuel pump buzzing,the fuel pump relay,ecu relay have been changed,ive swapped the ecu,transponder box & engine spped sensor etc still nothing,when im near the engine bay & turning on the ign to acc there is only the noise from the aux water pump,nothing else. On plugging the car to vag com its coming up with controller not found (for engine ecu) but its finding the abs controller fine. According to the previous owner he took the car out for a spin,stopped & couldnt restart it? Any ideas pls

You dont need to use mk4/5 mounts,you can buy or make a transmisson bracket from dutchdub.

I had the same sort of trouble with mine(well siezed rings) Think I bought a replacment locking/adjuster ring kit from venom,kin dear tho=£60. 1 Year guarantee on these babies

Engine management light? Have you fitted the mkiv clocks then? I'm using the C clocks so no annoying light :) Dutch There is that,but how can you tell when somethings wrong apart from keep plugging in vagcom

Right,my problem is the engine management light keeps coming on,when fault finding with vag-com its saying about the abs not being present. If tried to change the soft coding on the engine side of vag-com,but it wont let me change it. My r32 revs freely past 4k revs,i dont think the abs problem is affecting performance. So Ive heard there is a company called custom codes that can sort this abs problem out?

Just been & bought a 1996 golf vr6 with slight engine trouble,the car was running lumpy & misfiring,anyway it turns out to be one of the cams have jumped 2 or so teeth. Does anyone know if I could just get away with a different vr head or am I going to have a complete engine in?

Easiest way Ive found is when youve undone all the screws & removed the gbox light is to press the back of your hand against the bottom flat bit of the gb whilst pressing your fingers on the dash rail(thats stopping you just to pull it out) So in effect your making the hole where your gb fits into bigger,then just wriggle it out. Hopes this make sense?

Think I need a uprated transmission mount,anyone know where I might be able to get a vf engineering one off the shelf(in the uk?) Cant seem to find one :scratch:
