I have a spare transponder box if you need one?
-
If your using one of those small code readers, dont belive a word of it. The actual pumps very rarely go wrong, normally just the abs sensors
-
Totally different part chap,I might have a spare corrado pump, does your pump have a blue & white vw part no on it or a black & white?
-
Looking very good,id have to agree wih you there chap 8)

Me personally I dont rate corrado recaros at all,I bought a 1995 corrado with them a couple of months back & the drive from the south cost was less then impressive, they were the first things to sell, std leather feels just as good,I would rather have the later cloth interior, but it might be to do with my big bulk & w i d e arse!? :D

What you could do is just use the 2.8 engine in your set up & keep it obd1 using all the corrado bits, not too sure if you would have to change the ecu? To change to odbII youll need: Part of the main car loom yes Engine loom yes Inlet mani & throttle body inlet Ecu no Mass airflow meter yes Lambda sen no (ive put yes & no on the side of the parts as its what I have left for sale) Sorry engine sold, but have a few 2.9 engines
-
I have several 2.9 corrado vr engines, one still in the car running,so you can try bedore you buy
-
Sorry to be a University challenge know it all arse wipe, but OBD2 have 'postage stamp' 42pin chips and OBD1 has a normal 24pin Eprom. To be fully OBD2 you'll need the ECU, lambda, MAF and throttle body as mentioned earlier. OBD2 is king. It has 75 seperate maps compared to OBD1's 30 odd. It's the management of choice. Well worth the retrofit imo and it's a lot nicer to map than OBD1 for future mods. By the by Im breaking a 1998 Mk3 golf vr which is obdII

What about changing the ecu from 2.9 to 2.8? or wont you need to?

Pm you back about engines

Yes found who did it,you ought to see her mk5 escort! Seeing our car has had to have a vic check before thats it,think its going to be a breaker only, which means they might even not let us buy it back :( :(
