Conti Sport Contact and Conti Premium Contact tyres
_Monkey replied to matth76's topic in Drivetrain
Err just a bit, but I was going a tad too fast at the time! I actualy really rated them, but when I crashed the road was slippery (someone did the same as me when the ambulance was bandaging my head up!!) and it sloped away, so there wasn't a lot the tyres could do. -

You're telling me!!! To be fair, the tyres were quite good, very soft compound though don't think they'd last very long! -

I had a nasty experience with sport contact tyres once..... -
As every one else has said, gutted for you mate, but don't give in, you'll kick yourself if you sell it and someone else finishes it!

Where can I get a polished/painted G60 rocker cover??
_Monkey replied to JMC's topic in Suppliers Forum
You could try Trimsport, they cost around 70ish for a polished one, but it's a top job and comes back looking like a mirror! I almost didn't wanna put mine on!!! -
Proespective Corrado owner needs a little advice...
_Monkey replied to willbarnett's topic in General Car Chat
If you do a search, there's loads of discussions about G60 vs VR6, but ultimately, you just have to get out there, test them out and decide which is best for you. -
Oops  Thought he was on about the motors!
-
Recon you should try the MK3 ones, chances are they'd fit.
-
Might do if it was really out. But if you intend to slam it, you gotta get the camber done anyway.
-
Fair play to you mate, i gotta daily driver at the end of last year and it's the best thing I ever did for the raddo!
-
Is the car lowered? I think the alignment should be ok, but if you've had the ball joint off, the camber could be out. And you'd have to hit the caliper really hard to knock out the alignment, so i wouldn't worry about that. I'd just take it easy and get down to a place where you can have your tracking and camber tested when you can.

It was done by Jabba, gas flowed etc, gotta flowed manifold to match too. It really makes a difference, It used to run about 14psi, i'm running more power now on only 10! 8)

Sounds like a step up to me! Sorry to hear about how you lost your Civic though. :(
-
Right you are! Just got a big valve head, and when my funds replenish, I'm gonna have one of Jabbas intercoolers! Then after the summer, i'm looking at the bottom end for some 1.9 loving! But by then, you'll probably have achieved warp 9!!
-
Cool, thanks for the lead! :thumbleft:

I had the same idea mate, think it would pick up anything white so it would make the oil, batt, etc pics light up too. I just haven't been able to find any 12v UV LEDs though. It'll be good to see how you get on.

A Punto driver on a Corrado forum?!?!? Whatever next, a Corrado at a Punto rolling road day??? It was good meeting some of you at the Ultimate show... Even if i was a little drunk on the saturday!! :drinking: Just a quick update, my new head in it's rightfull place, also swapped my alternator for a MK3 GTI one, to get rid of the redundant charger brackets and to tidy the engine bay a little. Cheers to Rallyejimbo for supplying the alternator off his (now departed) 2ltr MK2! :thumbleft:

24V Renshaw - 24V V6 - Just read the whole thread!!!!
_Monkey replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Members Gallery
Won't be running, didn't get my name down in time, but i might pop up for a look around though. -
It doesn't matter if they can't get behind it, they can use glue and pull the dents out a little and then tap them flush! Sounds odd, but really works!
-
Sorry to hear about that. I have, they're sopt on, mine usually charges £60 for the first pannel, then 30 for every pannel after that, if the pain't isn't cracked, they can usually get it as good as new.
