abdul pointed me in your direction. This is my old vr. Absolutely loved it. The colour seemed to spring to life when i put the leather in. Ive got a build thread on here from many moons ago if you want some early pics. Ill keep an eye on this. Would love to have a lookover this again sometime. Cheers Gav Ps that plug is spare, it would fit into the crusie control iirc as fitted to the us spec cars.

A very good friend of mine has a small vw/audi garage near nonington. I highly recommend him, hes the only place we use if i cant/or dont have the time to do anything. If anyone wants his number drop me a pm, i dont normally recommend eole as it normally comes back and bites you in the ass but ive got no quams in recommending clive, hes a top bloke. Gav -

@karl- its a tw@t to get that cloth off the parcel shelf. I did it earlier and managed to get it off in one piece thankfully , so we can use that as a template.

awesome matey, ive had quite a few of these and would love another, mucher prefer them to the facelift series 2. Noticed in one of your pics the decals on the boot are starting to peel. drop me a pm as ive got a few sets of originals i can supply. Lovely car. very jealous...lol Gav -
cant find a direct link as it only came out yestetday. Awesome article though. Stunning skills for a home build even if Daddy does own a tuning company. Apparently the guy got offered a job with koenigseg (sp) on the back of building this http://ppcmag.co.uk/issue.asp?issue=96

lol, bit more to the story of zed getting motd. Ran out of fuel on the way to the petrol station..... Got to mates garage as cat needed put back on and front needed raised, he said we could use the ramps so was a welome change from lying on the ground. Helped with a starting problem on an old merc diesel and brewed up whilst drooling over his urq hes been rebuilding for the past 10 years lol. Cat went on without issue, and front coilies were nice and free so were raised up a few inches to get into the mot station.. all going well...sets off for mot station. Rolled in and mot bloke makes a start on the job in hand. I bible round looking at the various exotica around me, poker 968 csl, noble, lambo, old triumph hill climb car. Emmisions time, stick the probe in...fnar fnar... and away we go. Oh fook....big red block on the screen for the c.o. Tries a few runs to see if the lambda would pull it down but it did diddly squat. Tried one last time to then see lots of steam billowing out from under the bonnet...ooohh fook :ignore: Managed to empty the tank out of the everflow. oh cock. Let it cool down and topped it up with boiling water. fired up staright away once it had cooled down. Decided to coax it back to my mates garage and have a looksee . Stuck vag com on it and came up with nothing  . Topped it back up and got it up to temp till the fans cut in. All good. Ordered new lambda and took old one off. Arrived a couple of hours later, fitted and off for the retest. Flew through with the c.0 hardly registering. YAY!!! Drove home keeping a beady eye on the temp gauge and all seems fine. very odd. At least hes motd for another year The beer and pickled onion monster much wer very elcome back at home lol

superb pics. Loks spot on. Chris and i spent quite a while levelling up the suspension after he had the KW's fitted. Has it still got the spacers on the rear? we fitted them as the inside of the rear tyre was fouling on the strut Gav

Didnt even realise this was up for sale, its not that far from us. (or at least was, no idea who bought it) We had a play with it coming back from one of the local meets at brands the other week. Truly stunning, pics really dont do it justice. Gav
