That's a bummer :( If it's any consolation I agree your plan is good - nice smooth 263 power with no upgrade cam downside. Preferably with optimal benefit of re-map. A good platform for other NA or FI goodies. :D

Pity VW didn't collar the BMW phrase "Sheer Driving Pleasure" Some say it would have suited Golf ads! All-right, I'll unsubscribe :(

Big Ben - I bow to your superior memory! Point is the No for sale on PH has decreased significantly over 2 years, suggesting increase of demand over supply. Possibly No has stagnated, owing to recession for last 12 months?
-
Yup - PH is down to 38 C's. About 9 months ago, when Merod's 58k minter was on, I recall about 60 C's on PH. About 18 months ago there were well over 100 on. There's been quite a few broken and sold through CF too!

dont forget if you fit a stainless 6 branch, you wont need it if you go turbo, they do make a good mod for a supercharger though. But it isn't a prob even if you do go VRT as there's always a good market for stainless 6B's, cheap or expensive, with or without the special spherical articulated joint! BTW - if anyone needs a spherical joint set these can be bought from Olivier [an english speaking Raceland guy!] at [email protected]

2011 corrado forum calendar *feeler* anyone interested?

I'm in favour :D Cheers Tom -
The evidence suggests yes, whether FI or NA. :D

With a User Name like yours - I guess your no mate of Ralph Nader!

Agree with Coullstar! How could you ..sniff.. forsake your idol? You're officially rated a C Nutter - how could you possibly think such things! It sounds like you have a sound foundation. Thinking logically - what exactly is the matter with yr heater? Be analytical now, not symptomatic! etc Always look on the bright side of life! [i'd do it to music but can't sing!] :D

Didn't know that mate but i didn't get any details from him so would struggle to give much info really :( Perhaps so Kip, but if he clocked your Reg, the dog suffers and the guy decides, vindictively, to report the incident, it could cause you a deal of grief. If the guy looked rough, possibly a vagrant, then police won't expect him to have given detail of address etc. Might your insurers request an incident number? I don't normally hold with ar*e covering [there's enough energy and public money spent on it already!] but in this case you'ld be simply doing the correct thing. Sorry to hear of the prob, but sh*t happens. :(

Philistine!! Be fair Jim - my comment did have a context! :norty:

not a Mail reader... So Flav not particularly well liked in the paddock then? Not unless you care for obese bullies masquerading as clowns! His body language and attitude are appalling! Can't believe the French courts have been taken in by such a shallow attitude either. Ron also reminded us that while McClaren were fined millions for the Ferarrigate fiasco, caused by irresponsible, dishonest, relatively junior staff, FB/Renault got away with the same offence, in posession of McClaren data, scott free! All because of unbelievable Mosley bias!

Don't mean to be controversial but - is there a good red?!! :D I understand from paint people that it has always been the worst colour by far to match up and in their efforts to achieve match, the big chemical firms have produced some incompatible paint chemistries.

Caroline. I would like to put it in you. X He's back!! Didn't you make any NY resolutions Tom?! :D

Yes if you added the earth wire I reckon that would show some improvement. As a matter of interest what voltage do you see after the bulbs, ie on the earth side? Would be interesting to compare that with same reading after adding the earth wire. :)

Did anyone see Ron Dennis's full page in the Mail on Sunday? He made it clear what everyone thinks of FB. :pukeright:

Sean Jaymo - Grey Scale!! Pg8 - Go on have a look!

Yes those coded RX's looked a treat at the RR day, nice one. -
CTWG60 It's not possible to avoid a drop in torque at wheels when changing up, unless .... wait for it .... you have a torque curve that slopes down from left to right! I noticed at the last Stealth RR day some NA engines do this from about 3.5k rpm. What does a typical oiler torque curve look like?

Right! Need more light shedding on this area! I've recently bought an un-used loom and done a bit of re-search as to best way to connect etc and quite a few issues come to light. The best loom I've seen is Kur2y's [regardless of whether OEM connector or spade connectors provided] because: a] it can be fitted without cutting into the existing loom thus enabling perfect reversibility to OEM condition b] it provides for proper connections for sidelights too, and these remain directly powered from OEM loom c] MOST IMPORTANTLY - it provides full and direct heavy gauge battery +ve round to battery -ve circuitry for both pairs of head & dip bulbs which is THE prime purpose of the uprated loom! The OEM loom circuitry is used solely for relay switching. NB I have no commercial arrangement with Kur2y, neither am I a relative of his!!! [no offence intended Kur2y!] The loom I bought AND the circuit diagram above on p6 are both designed to supply, via heavy gauge wire, directly from the battery, BUT use the OEM loom to provide the earth return to battery, thus obviating half the objective of a complete, heavier gauge, relay switched power circuit to the head & dip bulbs. Other circuits I've seen on the CF have also shown this not so thorough or effective solution, and most of the ebay looms I've seen do this. I'll be modifying my loom to include heavy gauge earth returns to battery from each of the headlamp unit sockets. Also connections will be made in a way which avoids cutting into the OEM loom. I suspect many of the complaints of ineffective "uprated" looms which appear in CF are the result of the above incomplete solution. If you must buy a cheap loom without the full earth return circuit, do add the earth wire to battery - it will make the difference between night & day to your driving lights [well almost!] Re whether to go for a 2 or 3 relay loom, IMHO the 2 relay loom is quite OK. The "3 relay guys" say having a relay per side for the dips enables you to get home if a relay fails. And I say yes, but not legally! Better to spend the 3rd relay money on a loose spare relay to keep in your mobile tool kit. You will need it anyway, in the event of a failure.

I agree - that's a pretty fair summary!

Deffo C - great animation / montage

As it's an anagram of VRT - 'spose it will do! :? Which model/spec is it?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/intake-manifold-t ... 3ef4bd83f8 appears to be a short [medium?] runner with equalised lengths. Presume the TB flange orientation is to suit IC cooling?

Corrado VR6 or.....Lotus Elan M100???? Opinions?

Was I thinking of the Europa then? I bow to your superior knowledge :notworthy: -

I heard the original series Elan was OK on a track but tended to surprise people with unusual handling traits ont' road. Had Ford mechanicals, rudimentary fuelling etc IIRC the second series Elan had Renault mechanicals, presumably with modern engine management.
