How happy am I . So glad I did not break her. After 2 weeks without her I am so glad to be driving her again. Cant wait till I have put some miles on her and she can be set up properly. Whilst the boys at RKE sorted her out they put a piper 285 cam in. I know they are not rated to much as some think they can be a bit lumpy and they are so right............But I love it. The reason I didnt go and get a VR is cause I like the twichyness of the G and found the VR to be heavy and lazy. (hides under desk  ) And this is so good. I can feel that it will make a diff once I can take her over 3000rpm she just is so twitchy and wants to pull. :norty: I LOVE MY CAR :camp:

I got mine from http://www.vagparts.co.uk think they were a bit less than the stealers

A ported head and a stroked block shouldn't stress the engine any more, it's increasing the boost and revving it higher which stresses stuff. In theory but have you seen how I drive :pale:
-
Should get her back on thursday. With a new crank and rebuilt bottom end. Am putting a piper cam in whilst the head is off just to see how it runs. I have been told they are a bit lumpy, but will see how it goes,

I am hoping to be somwhere near it with a new cam on the g. She was just over 200 with FMIC, sns chip, stg 4 charger, Jabba filter and a 68mm pully. After that it gets into serious money realms. CNC big valve head, 1.9 conversion etc. TBH for a daily it really just aint worth the hassle. More stress on the engine more things to go wrong. And being a corrado there is enough things to go wrong as it is

2nd for tt pedals.. pic in my gallery. sorry at work and cant post one...

I know how you feel. I am sure my electrics are an accident waiting to happen. DDI dials, Illuminated Knob, I-pod adaptor, 12v power out & boost guage. Its all a little bit scary behind the dash but it all works so I dont want to touch. TBH I should really pull it all out and rewire it all properly. They all have inline fuses though so should be safe from fire  Note to self " must get a fire extinguisher"......

Dont hit one they make a real mess to the front end.................................................... :pukeright:

Best place for it IMO. Then drill some holes in the wheel arch to let the air flow through. Will be doing the same on mine when funds allow/something else dosnt break :D

Well have given her to rke after I had the crank bolt go on her on the way back to stealth. God know how many times I have seen the thread about this and said to myself must check that and never done it so really my own fault :( However on the plus side it did not shear straight off and although I lost power there was still acouple of mm of metal holding it on so the bottom end looks ok. The boys at http://www.rk-engineering.co.uk ( shamless plug ) are giving her some love. Needs a new crank as the bolt has now broken off properly and where it has been rattling around has damaged the end of it. Whilst there charger is going to Darren for a rebuild as I just realized I have done about 31k since the last one. And they are going to throw in a piper cam to see how I like it. Have been told it can be a bit lumpy but can give some decent gains. All being well and that they always do a good job she should be back with me next weekish. Now I am sorting her am so glad the idea of breaking her has gone from my mind. Sunday night I was in a bad place and the car was about to follow :censored:

I bought scratch x with high expectations but my c really does have some bad swirlage and I found it didnt really make a diff after going over the bonnet. Could just be my weak ass arms though  Is G3 really that bad as I was thinking about going over the whole car with a that and a machine polisher (loads of water with it though) Tim

Did feel a little tender and prob shouldnt have been trusted the car.. TBH for what it would cost you would get much moe enjoyment out of renting one for a weekend or something.........Though of course you wouuldnt be able to enjoy it to its full potential :norty: :norty: On the track even booting it I could only get to 120mph as the straight was so short

Yup shelled out for the 4 pictures and 1 print................They sure make some money but I dread to think how much their insurance and public liabitity would be  They instructor did say they had over 2 million pounds worth of cars on site
-
My wonderful wifey got me a ferrari thrill for Xmas and I went on it on Sat before going to Stealth. Was great to see some fantastic cars inc 2 R8's lambos etc. It was just a shame that you only got 3 laps so by the time you got to grips with the car it was time to come in. But having said that will prob be the only time I will drive one so was well worth it. :norty:

I want one in black........................... There goes another one of those winged pigs again

Brother in law had a vito 108cd and loved it it ................till although being a 2001 plate rusted like a ford and then the ecu blew after only 100k. And was classed as wear and tear by the insurance company :censored: Though from what I can gather they have sorted to rust out on the new model but you aint going to get one for 3.5k. Stear clear IMHO

Fixed my headunit so the gremlins were gone. Now can listen to a cd without it cutting out 50 times.................. ...

Just before I try and change my indicator stalk I want to ask if there is an easy fix for my problem. Last night on the way home I put my lights on main beam and there was a cracking sound then when I dipped them and tried to put them back on main beam there is no click and the indicator stalk fals back. Is it knakered or can I fix it. Cheers Tim :help:
