I love the colour. Made for the car. It has been really well looked after. I don't doubt that here n there its had a touch of paint and it needs some. Dinks that have been touched up with brush n stuff. Still its 17 Yrs old n it looks good for it. The plastics have faded a little spoiler n mirrors. How could I bring these back to life? Engine wise its all there airbox n Carbon canister even the CAT??? Spoiler not workin? Either on Rd or with the switch. What is it most likely to be? The actual mechanisam... :?: Just got to get my Nitrous kit fitted now :twisted: Cheers

Don't know about fleabay but it was on Autotrader. Always wanted a yellow version. Since I saw these cars so many years ago. A yellow VW Corrado is what I wanted. 100k on the clock well good nic. My mate said its sick...I then beat him to death.

Sunroof works perfectley :shock: So I'll take the repair of the spoiler in my stride. Few dinks n so but its an old car, come Spring lots of dint n paint work being paid for. Full VW service history all the way. Between 2001 n 2007 only 7000 miles done. Head skimmed ne rebuilt all receipts new clutch tons of stuff. I scared the dealer to death sat there for an Hr going through all the receipts. Made me a brew n said so not on a whim this car then! Got to get an uprated headlight loom n a wiper kit the humerous lights are terrible. Esp the drive from Cardiff at night in the rain double jeapordy. Are those super purpose built looms still made on the forum?

I got a MOMO of some sought yesterday in the pub. Swapped it for a pint??? Was fitted to a derelict Escort Diesel van. X builders heap. Boss is from my old VW wheel. Had a little button for the horn so no hole for a bolt!! Have to get a new Boss. Which model is it? Anybody.

Well after a weeks work here is my new Corrado G60. In relation to my old 60 click here Its a beautiful thing. All the way to Cardiff for it. Well funny on the way home with Mother following in her 1.2 Clio..Bye now..Mobile phone rings SLOW DOWN...Oh sorry. Long drive back to Cheshire :lol: Loads done this week. Old car being picked up shortly. What ya think? :D

On my new C (pictures to follow) The temp needle seems lazy. Its starts its climb but never seems to get anywhere. I swapped out the new senders from my old C n that didn't do anything to help. Can I swap the clocks or do the clocks store the milage??? Can they easily be taken to bits? I've soughted the needle on my old clocks n it worked a treat but can you remove the whole temp gauge? greetings mr green of the 60.. To answer in a word...No They would not bend. My Insurance Broker is only a small high St store but known em for years. They have asked for a written report on this case and a report on the Acessor. The Boss de belives that the acessor either has a C or knows someone with a C. He will file a pissy report on the car the insurance write it off give me £300 and he gets it for nothing from my insurance.. The boss alos said noway does a customer get offered £300 then a leap to £3100 with no argument on the case n car. Car not yet picked up and me have a new G60 so.. :scatter: :wink: Photos of new car tomorrow. oh by the way where ya get the bonett bra from?

Hi. To be honest my stereo is still in my x wives house (our house) So I'm hopeing that it still sits in the box's in the corner of the loft :roll: Can't remember which it is. Its not a Jap consumer market issue its a true export model. Only worry is its a total pull out chassis. Bit of a fuss still its a lovely item. Long time since I've seen it to be honest. With having two kids n looking after them for the last 8 or so years I've not had a car worth fitting it in.. A string of Peugeot Diesels then two very fast Saab 900 turbo's. Stereo's built in to the dash. 1st was a monster with a scooby turbo fitted to it. Now all that is in the past I have the cars I want again :lol: The kids love the Corrado big time. They not seen the new one. Shall post some shots tomorrow.

Ok I'll take that as a lead. The headunit is old is a total pull out. Its def aftermarket as the plug wires have been cut from the old unit and then been bullet joined to the leads from the present unit. I want to replace it with my Alpine Juba style headunit that I have from the early 90's. Been sat in the loft for 10 years. It will suit the car very well. Plus its well cool lookin. Cheers

Hi all. Well I'm nearly ready to post pictures of my new G60. Purchased a week back but lots of work bing done on it. A quick wash this afternoon to remove all the oily handprints :lol: It has a real old Sony Cassette deck in at present and its knackerd. So upon removing said head unit I find a very neat install. The original unit plugs are still present. So to make things easy I would like to nip to Halfrauds n buy a converter loom. So waht make was the original unit in a 1991 J plate G60? Answers on a postcard please.

Thin is better. All air inside is cooled. Prob with thick coolers is the air reaches the back and has been warmed up from cooling the forward area. Plus better airflow over the IC.

HI all. I spoke with the insurance company today. I'm insured through Fortis. They will not allow me to have the car back and will not give me the salvage companies details. ??? Such a loss. I know for sure that my engine box n carger are gonna be on ebay in a few weeks. Gonna have to think of something. They said they are paying me for the car. they then have an agreed salvage agent who will remove what is OK from the car and sell it then take the shell for disposal to be issued a certificate of destruction. Will have to try calling them again on monday.

That's why I've got one with all mods declared and pictures supplied Steve. Interesting.. So how does one get an agreed payout. I belive I will be going for this policy? Who are ya both with? Hopeing to pick up the new C tomorrow Waheeeey...

Yes its a B something. Something to do with Old cars. I would realy love the car back the body is shattered but engine n box ect are just so good its got a 1.9 bottom end. Runs beautifully. Will be callin Gwerks tomorrow. Darren said he had a shatterd charger so get that n swap it over. They said the car is to be taken to a reclamation secure yrd to be broken up?? last time I saw one of those my X wifes escort was in onei went to get the Aloys of it. They said i could take what ever i wanted. They use or sell no parts jut reclaim ie Alloy head goes in the alloy skip etc Do you think the yard will look close at the car ie Oh look a supercharger is missing??

Well after building a massive portfolio ofreceipts and photos I Today got a 2nd offer on my beloved Corrado...... £3100 :D So that is a massive jump from £325. It is well worth documenting any work done on Yr car. I asked for the car they have refused. Its a specific write off and its an old car. They said the car has to be govermentally legally broken up?? Anybody shed any light on this? I want to get alotof stuff of the car which I will be starting tomorrow. namely my new shockers, SNS ECU Remove the new VR6 clutch and somehow keep my newley rebuilt Gwerks charger..-lus more beside. So feedback is well received from ya all. Oh hope you all had a great new year.

Hi all. Well yesterday I dropped a massive folder of receipts n photos of the rebuild of my now dead G60. So as I wait for an offer better than the £300 they tried last week I'll ask this question. If I bought a 16v what is required to fit all my G60 powerplant in to the bay of the valver. I realise the engine n box ect is easy. i'm more intrested in the electrics. Is the Valver loom ok? will my chipped ECU fit straight in? You get the idea. Cheers

Well got the letter this morning and I have been offered the grand total of £325. They do not consider the car special nor rare nor sought after from looking into current price's and demand for the model. Car has 150 on the clock mint paintwork and mint interior with no seat bolster damage at all. They do how ever state they are ready to pickup the wreck at any time... I imagine they are eager to sell it to a Corrado only braker. So what ya think? Thoughts apreciated on my nextcourse of action. I have all receipts from the rebuild i'm hopeing that will throw more money my way

As my mate said Smile its a Kodak moment. Fridge magnets n all I guess. I am gutted but I am walking n talking so I'm Ok and my two nippers wern't in the car so all is OK. Its Metal n plastic n cogs n oil arghhhhhhhh My car :cry: The only thing I did not have in teh boot was the Corrado badge of the rear. I went digging around in nettles n ivy today. Found it. Riveted it to my toolbox. Called the insurance today So see what happens now. My uncle said leave the car down the yard as long as I want so. Engine out n strip wings n running gear of it me thinks.
