Hi Andy.. Thanks for that Doh now I feel propper Huh.. I checked the Knowledge base but didn't spot it...FMIC!! I was looking for Intercooler fitting DDOH! I have some more shots of the IC going in. I got alot further yesterday welding the cuts I have made but the RAD seems to be up tight against the charger return pipe. Is that correct? Also I had to remove the fan to take the rad back a bit as it was fouling against the starter n stuff.. I have a spal fan to fit anyway so its not a big deal just anywhere I have read there is no mention on the fan? Cheers bud I shall crack on at teh weekend. Rob

Hi all. Im having trouble with the rad...How do you get the IC to fit square? The rad seems to be in the way! If I take it off its two peg mount I am unable to move it firther back due to the fan shroud hitting the starter n stuff!! Does the Rallye IC actually fit square where it should ie it has two ocating pegs do these fit the locating holes ? Cheers Rob

It seems the Tow eye can be kept if you read the 'How to' on the web site I found with in forum posts... Click on ...Umbau und Reparatur' Its a good 'How to'. Just copied what was on there. Still got a long way to go but i'm in no rush. The 60 has to go for a full re-spray in a month or two.

Hi all. After some research on t tinternet I now know its a Rallye!! IC of many types play with me grinder.. Well at least think about playing with it  Well I'll read this first... How to fit a Rallye IC

Hi all. Not posted for sometime but I'm still here and the yellow G60 is now nearing paint..So I have been in need of a new IC as the original was crushed in the hit the car took a year back. So......I treated the old G60 to this... 8) http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y202/compressor/?action=view¤t=IC2.jpg http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y202/compressor/?action=view¤t=IC1.jpg So is it a G60 IC or a Rallye IC? I have the front of the car in bits.. AGAIN  and the thing seems to be a bit wider than the space will fit. SO i'm thinking its a Rallye.. SO what needs to be done to fit it don't want to go cutting before the info arrives. Glad to see the forum is going well.. Rob

Hi. Interesting post as these overheating ones always are.. I'm on my 3rd G60 an not one of em has the fan worked correctly.. New sensors, run with a stat and no stat and new water pumps... Still the fan will not auto start.. The G60'd do not have the fuse block by teh expansion tank either. So even less to work with. Does my head in..I have had to fit a switch to the dash of all my G's to start the fan. Runs perfect with the switch but will not spin up on just the engine sensors. A friend at work had the same problem on his late Polo. He fitted a brand new fan and it all worked perfectly. Even though we did short the fan and it span up fine... Just food for thought if the new pump n stuff doesn't roll it... Scary about yr pump by the way

Received my Rieger GTS snow plough lip spoiler today.... Car will be going for paint n stuff in the coming week. I test fitted the spoiler this evening its a great fit and looks the nuts...However it will disapear under my own wheels if I clip a speed bump and there are peanty of em round here and on the way to n from work in the hills of glossop in derbyshire. So I have a weitec (GWerks) kit on my car with a 30mm drop. Is there anyway to life the front a ittle. I have heard of somebody on the forum who sells thes kits and uses VR front springs or something as he belives the G60 kit is to low at the front..Anybody got any views on this.

Hi. So Riley sez in that link I gave ya. You need to remove the pass side, side panel. Then you can get under the central console. The cogs that 'MAY' be bust can just slide out. If this is the case then just get down a breakers n slide out the same cog from a MK2 Golf heater box refit to yours check it all works then your done. Read all Rileys n my writings on that link. Riley solved his by not removing the box n Matrix. This was my 1st car n so I was not so wise. I ripped out all the dash well apart from the dash its self  As for the Matrix...If you do what i did n take the lot out then swap the matrix if you replace just the cogs n it works then leave the matrix n box in place. Good luck Bud.

Hi. Looking at those pictures I'd say the reflector has been sprayed with Silver spary paint. The inner reflector should be as shiny as the outer. The reflector will wear due to age and heat but that level of dullness is far to even for wear. Even if the reflector is a bit worn the lights will pass. See these shots I just took. Sadly I went through 3 lens's last week. Err yes I did have a lot of spares. All 3 were the Pass side. Stones of wagons on the M60. As you can see the reflector is really worn. Its been sitting in the damp of the shed for near a year but it did pass no prob last year. You can see how shiny it should be.

I heard of doing that from somewhere. Would the rear calipers of said car be up to the front work of a Corrado?
-
You got any photo's of the car with those 7.5 rears? Would be interesting to see how it looks. I'm not into the stretched look.
-
Oh A Wiki for me..... :-P I shall sought out some writings this week. Will have to go over it all in me head. Cheers

Hi. Only if its rated Cat C or D willyou be allowed to get it back. I lost mu beautiful inca blue G60 last year on a Cat B. Was gutted. look for the two links below my post. New car and old car. I have not had a lot of luck of late. Hold out for every penny. Do not take their 1st offer unless is a great offer. My acessor(for the damage to my new car) was senior in the company and said that their bools were way of the mark in valuing these cars consdering how much they go for even with 100K plus on the clock. See my most recent damage here :!: Rated as Cat C. Car cost me £900 to get back but its worth it. Nearly finished the rebuild.

Hi Andy. Good work. Love the fuse holders. Are you going to make a list of who is in what batch? may be helpful. Could just do it from the requests in this thread?

Then say shit the charger feed line is'nt on. Also don't sit there all proud with yourself after fitting a new VR6 clutch kit and rebuilt transmission. Reach for the cigs and cup O T and wonder why your new release nearing is sat next to your cup O T alongside your old release bearing   Ahh that was a not funny moment.
