  1. Really Saab Turbo's :D I've had three and I have a set of injectors in the shed!!!! Al were 1994 / 95 2litre se turbos.s very nice car.
  2. Yep he did cross the white line. He just popped out and thump. I have photo's of his car and damage. It is obvious I hit him side on so from what I have been told its no contest. Sought of like if you hit somone from behind its always your fault. I'm just worried about the car. If it gets written off on financial grounds I will buy the car back. I have been told that I will lose the reg No and it will have to be registered on a Q plate! Is this true? If so I don't really want it on such a plate.
  3. What happened is... J19 of the M6 is a couple of miles from where I live. I was taking the car out after fitting a new stat just a short test run. At the roundabout for J19 there is a pub The Windmill. Next to the windmill is Pickmere lane. There was a Q of ar-tic trucks on the inside lane all wanting the M6. I moved to the outer lane. Meanwhile a gap has opened up between two truck's. One has prob waved this lad through so he can join the traffic as trucks take a while to get through the gears. Instead of joing the lane with the trucks in he decided to shoot out and cross the lanes with no sighting on the outer lane untill he was literally in the damn lane. I just hit him ala T bone style. Clean on the drivers door. He literally appeared infront of me. BANG. I went ape how can you join a duel carriageway with no vision on a lane!!!!! So didn't really matter what colour my car is he only saw me where I hit him when he had cleared the trucks square on teh drivers door. So the insurance claim should come from his side.. I'm sure my premium will climb big style. No claims for 8 years not a damn thing. Now 2 in a few weeks. Took the car to Cheshire autobody repairs this morning. I have a mate who works there. They had an acessor in so he took a look and filled in the paperwork. Said it seems to be cosmetic just that parts will be a problem. Very expensive from VW...I said Ebay he laughed and said exactly. Have to wait n see.
  4. HA my mate said that. No more fast cars for you a 1 litre Clio is more you ! There is no way the insurance company are having this car. Downer is my old C is still parked up at my uncles farm with all the parts I need.. Phonecall time I reckon.
  5. Well I have had my new car what? 2 weeks and yesterday fitted new relays n a new stat and all is working as should. Sunroof, mirrors, spoiler everything. I even have a heater. Still all this is no good if a young lad tries to jump 2 lanes of traffic by popping out between 2 ar-tic lorries on a duel carrigeway.. Yep he did it totally unsighted on the A556 and just appeared infront of me and bang I hit him... So car off the Rd A mate works at a insurance repair centre so took the car over this morning. Had an acessor look at the damage. He's getting back to me Monday. Said it seems to be cosmetic chassis arm is fine and it drives fine so only problem he said will be parts. My old C is still sitting at my uncles farm with all the bits I need. Well except a colour coded bumper.
  6. Sure it didn't fall of the back of a lorry? I know I know  I can say that I did go and get my Allen keys and remove said wheel fom said knackerd Escort van.... Which model is it? Very nice wheel though.
  7. Yeah I'll go for a plug n play. After weeks in Mothers Clio how novel for VW to build a car with no lights or windscreen wipe ability....Ahh we must all be mad.
  8. OK that was a definate don't buy those then...Not much more to say. Shall have to get me a set of Lupo arms.. Love the work well on the rear :D
  9. Has anybody tried the retro fit blades yet? Like Lupo blades but fit standard arms. Click here
  10. Top thread. I was wondering where to get the few dinks n stuff out of my new Yellow 60 come Spring. I shall be logging this No. Hay Bees I was at my Sisters this week in Notts. A massive slate missed my car by not alot. Was asleep when the act of God happened! Broken about 2 foot from my car. Would have prob hit the roof square on...Maybe my luck is changing  Did the slate pierce the bonett?
  11. Hmm. That screw is very tucked away. My photo is of it on its way out. I do agree your ignition clamp is different to mine so you may be correct about things being different.
  12. Screw is at top of picture. You need a jewlers screwdriver and its got to be bent. The screw is not easily visible at all. To be honest its a wonder the screwe holds it in. two turns and its on the footwell floor. Mighty to get out. Look at my shot then at yours. The screw hole you are looking at is not a screw hole. Its a hole. The screw resides toward the clocks at the back and in a recess. You can see my clock plastic surround on the picture. This sholud give you enough to spot the area.
  13. How did this thread pan out? New car n a few gremlins at the fusebox. Got my spoiler workin the otherday. Some grease and the manual knob works fine. Fitted a new fuse n all is well. Pops up at around 40 my old C popped at 80??? Seemed stiff at 1st prob not been workin for a while. So when I boot the car Spoiler works then I notice that it hasn't dropped down. Get home spoiler fuse is blown?? Twice now. If I just drive and accelerate at a normal pace all seems fine?
  14. Hi all. Rather than start a new thread I'll open this oldie up. New car, 1991 G60 and a few gremlins. All as above. My fogs front or rear don't work. The light on my switch does work. So upon investigation I fit a new headlight switch still no joy. At the fuse box I find a bridge wire between fuse's 9 and 10. I remove said wire and no light at the fog switch??? So any ideas where next? What relays work with the lights? I have a Bentley on CD but noway can I get it to work on XP n tried many web browsers.. Seems have to purchase the real thing. As ever cheers

    Momo Boss 8014

Your setup looks no different to mine. I just past the horn wire up through the boss and attached the spade to the horn. Then drilled my boss fitted a self tapper and ring connector to a length of wire n Bobs yr uncle. See here Although not a Corrado same idea as me n others I guess

    Momo Boss 8014

Hi I fitted a Momo yesterday. It was not new. I swapped it fr a pint. It came of a derilict builders escort van. Used my old Boss to fit it. The horn button had a 1 spade connector and a weird brass curved ?? bit . Also came with two tin discs. Are these slip rings? using 1 was handy to actually mount the horn button. What are they actually for. Feel a bit huh sayin it. I mounted the horn wires by just passing a bare cable through a small hole it seemed to be griped by the curved rod. Works well though.
  17. Did the garage align the wheels? This is the very reason I will not use garges. I learn't when very young to work on cars now its a great past time. Garages! They can't be trusted n lookin at 1 garage that once did emergency work on my old 60 they bit of more than they could chew. Take it to Awesome in Irlam. They are not really that expensive and they do great work. I have to be honest i do virtually all my own work but from time to time I go there n its great work.
  18. When ya doin it? Done this job with photos n can talk ya through it. Leave window in. It should take ya about 45 mins no messing. Its easier than it looks. honestly I was really suprised.
  19. Oh mate my dead 60 was a mare with stats. had 3 or 4 no way could I run the car with em in. Just airlock after airlock. Bottom hose always cold. Remove and all is well. I even had a low temp stat a Neuspeed with 2 1 mm holes drilled in the flange to stop air bubbles forming. Still the damn car wouldn't run with it in. Now it seems my 16 yr old rad was well clogged somewhere. The new car seems to be wesome at cooling?
  20. Hmmm seems me needle is not so lazy  Temp did come up today when in traffic. Seems I am havin really good cooling. As soon as I get movin the airstream really drops me temps. My old 60 always suffered cooling probs maybe me rad was blocked :?:
  21. Actually it could work out ace. Very funny. Neighbours already think I'm mad with me cars. "What ya puttin on there Rob"? Peanut butter I replies..... As I spread it on me mirror casing with a suitable knife.
  22. Oh super. Cheers for the fuse list. So all the interior lights, clock n rest work just no spoiler. Shall garb the tools in the morn and take a look. Between jobs at the mo. Don't start my new one till late Feb. Super time to play.
  23. Hi. Cheers Peanut butter ? What if it has an allergy :-P What does Peanut butter do. Its the plastic yellow bits that r a little faded. Mirrors n spoiler. As for fuse thought it may share sunroof? If does that is workin fine. I'll do some erection testing int he morning
  24. Tis not the season to be doing a sun roof!! I never fancied even thinkin about fixin mine on me last Corrado. It didn't work but it didn't leak.
