Is that the 12V PAS pump with the 24V pulley?
-
I'm not really a show going person, but there are now a few cars on this forum- pretty much all the well known ones (this being one of them), that I'd love to see in the flesh. Can you all decide on a show so I can see them all at once !!! :D
-
If that doesn't work, take things out one by one until the squeaking stops. When it does eventually stop, it'll be the last thing you took out that was causing the squeaking. :D
-
Sorry pal but that has to be...................:epicfail:
-
I'm not sure I haven't mounted my pedal yet, but Pete Griff did his that way and the pedal seemed spot on.
-
You need to get the little fixtures from VW and attach them to the floor, then the pedal bolts into them, Unfortunately this does mean drilling through the floor of the car, or welding studs onto the top of the floor.
-
The only difference will be the lengths of wire, my Audi ones are rediculously long, thinking about getting some shorter ones.
-
Will be fine.

Glad it's worked out for you chap, insurers will always try it on with their own repairers. Very glad you're going down the replacement wing route, unless it's a small dent it's always better to go down the replacement panel route.
-
Because even with protected no claims, your premium the next year would still go up, because you've made a claim. No claims bonus just knocks a percentage off the price.

Speed sensor and oil temp are as they were originally, just spliced into the new loom, for the coolant you need to put in the extra (grey) switch into the blanking hole on the thermostat housing, this is used for the ECU. Surely Mark is doing all that though? Gearbox looks good mate, they are a pig to clean!! I ended up getting mine blasted to get all the old paint off.
-
I would make sure you ask for the wing to be replaced if I were you. It's a bolt on item and saves any filler going into the car, i think most places would do that anyway. Just take it to VW to get repaired, they generally have a good standard. There is no point in gettiung done on the cheap just so she doesn't have to claim, that why she has insurance after all.

That's the trouble, I'm doing about 750miles a week, which is about half way between making it worth it!
-
I bought a Mk2 Gti as a daily, and i'm getting about 40-42mpg out of it on my 150mile round trip each day, but that's still £100 a week in Petrol, that's a load of wedge a month for just commuting. It's made me think about changing it to something newer and more efficient, but will I ever see the money back? probably not, newer cars are better but not by much I'm thinking. Need a closer contract!!

The other alloys to look for that are not Merc specific are OZ opera or opera 2 alloys, I wanted some of these, well still do really! The curves of the wheels suit the corrado shape a bit more I think.
-
Are you using the Aux pump from the vr or the R32? It's probably easier to use the VR one, then you just connect them all as usual. Pete Griff didn't have throttle body hose connections on his motor, however i did on my Audi unit, and I've connected them up...

Incredible Corrado Shaun. Absolutely immaculate.
-
Selling your sorted Corrado to fund an S3, are you mad? :brickwall: Corrado- one of the best handling FWD cars ever and general good car, more than could be said of an S3. How much are you selling your Corrado for? I might do you a favour and buy it, then sell it back to you when you realise what a mistake you have made..... :D Rant over, best of luck with it all mate, will be sorry to see this thread go :( , there aren't many alive on here any more.... See you back here in a few months
-
what else are you going to get up to in your dungeon :D ? Corrado's both looking good!!
-
probably metres per gallon for you pal!
-
Awesome as always, I think cut out in the front bumper looks good in those pics on the previous page... how many mpg do you get now then?
-
any of the foam cleaning products, they are all much the same and seem to do a top job....
-
....and that's what you other half is for :D
-
It's an Audi TT airbox fella, the VW ones don't have a groove pattern on the top of them and the MAF and inlet is a smaller diameter. They are all big though, it's the same size as a Golf airbox. You have to move the PAS botle too, mine's not in the pics above because the brackets being coated (I forgot to put it in with the others...) Thanks for the compliments but don't get false images, it's not a patch on some of the other guys on here when you see in the flesh.I need to get on with finishing it really, but I just end up looking at it and pondering:? Does anyone else do that or is it just me?
