  1. There's loads on here, use the search to find it all. :D
  2. A Corrado farm? Wow, you get subsidies for graowing anything these days. :tumbleweed:
  3. Fitted Stu's (Mr.Beige on here) shift light kit, overall impression was that it was a very nice bit of kit, cheers Stu! Personally I wasn't bothered about having all four lights so I decided to fit just the two, which made fitting it easier, as you could use the existing LED mounts. So I set about fitting it. Chuffed with the results. I like this kit because you wouldn't know it was there unless you look for it- which is my kind of mod. But really handy for track days and sprints :norty:
  4. Ahh no isn't there a cable operated valve somewhere between the engine and bulkhead? Or was that on a Mk1 Golf  ? I haven't seen a normal/complete Corrado engine bay for some time!
  5. Yeah, but it's quite easy to relocate it though! I'm using this one off an Ibiza (but with a Mk3 black cap), but only because it looks nicer imo! You could easily drill out the spot welds on the bracket holding the current tank on, and then use the holes you create in the bracket to bolt it onto the little metal galvanized bracket that is just under the battery, maybe with a little jiggery pokery!
  6. How about the valve, is it working ok?
  7. Well I'm going to be doing it soon, but I've got the Audi 3.2 Airbox that has a little squashed looking pipe that feeds the air round the battery on the TT/A3, you can see it on VAGCAT. I'm hoping to be able to use the same pipe!
  8. Can you undo the clamp a bit and slide it across enough to get a 3" duct behind it? It'll get flattened behind the battery a bit but there's a bit more space behind there than when you first think.
  9. It goes down to about 1 3/4" inside the silencer!
  10. You can try installing an EOS 3.2 Gearbox which I think are 2wd, it's DSG though!
  11. I'll second the good after sales support etc. Got mine (PSS's) rebuilt and they were great, although I did have quite a wait because they aklways had race teams to deal with which took priority over mine :(
  12. Magnex on the left, Jetex on the right. Both are well made, but the Magnex has the edge. Little things like the hangers have a end stop to prevent the rubber sliding off, and the silencer seams are welded rather than crimped- although I'm not sure that is necessarily better.. The Magnex is a smaller bore, and has a more restrictive flow path by the looks of it, although the Jetex does have a nasty dimple where it goes over the rear beam.
  13. Yeah that was my view on it! If it is too spongey, I'll probably just do the ABS unit to compensator in hardline, no big deal. I have driven a track car that was fully braided and that was fine but it was a smaller bore. Got a s/hand Jetex exhaust today. (cheers Trev!) SNV34681.JPG[/attachment:sygm5e28] I changed because I don't want an oval tailpipe, I'm after a straight cut one having seen James (CorradoVR6 Turbo) one which looks more OE in my view, but couldn't be arsed with making up a full system like he has so i 'm selling my Magnex and have bought a Jetex which I can then chop the tailpipe off. I can't chop the Magnex one off without hassle as the tailpipe is welded to the back box. Magnex going into the for sale section.....
  14. Nice work, sounds feckin sweet. I've never had a tubular manifold that doesn't sound like it's leaking, which isn't to say they all do, but it's why I modified the Audi downpipe rather than go the dubsport way. Still it's all good, and makes me wan't to hurry mine up a bit :D
  15. Hey she's moving!! Good isn't it when you just 'do one' and get on with it. Well done mate, looing forward to seeing it. :D
  16. Here it is mate. Front one round the back of the upright. (It's the black thing!)
  17. I think it'll be the sensor as you first thought, take it out and look at the end of it, you will see if it's been scraped.
  18. The dealers sell them for about the same money, they look like this one
  19. There going to look good with the white calipers. 8) Timescale for my car was to be finished in two weeks over Christmas, back in 2007 :D Ie never ending, you should pop over and have a gander, it's only half an hour or so.
  20. Hi pal, you can use a Passat clutch pedal and it all fits fine I think. Check with Pete_Griff, he's done it recently.
  21. My old man, he showed me how, and ends up with free servicing on his cars for the rest of his life  !!
  22. I wish I had the balls to take my gearbox to bits, it would have saved me a few hundred..., what special tools do you need? Nice work mate :thumb right:
  23. Cheers for the link mate, just seen it on South today too! Put in new handbrake cables today, along with millions of various clips. I also got a whole load of engine bay harness clips from a Mk3 to replace the cable tie sort the corrado comes with, there just a bit neater, less fidly, and more substancial. Also going to put my shift light LED's into my console tonight.....
  24. I got all the parts through work, but you can get them all from most motorsport places. Merlin Motorsport maybe? Cheers pete, I'd love to have a drive in your motor mate, I'll actually be rolling an Evo 6 on a rotisserie and doing the same under chassis treatment that i did to mine (only on a much bigger scale) starting on Thursday, since my contract with Steam Car has now finished I'm doing a bit of work for Jon until I find a new design contract, a couple of things are in the pipeline. I had to come back early as helen's going to drop next month, but it seems all has gone really well this week, runs well above the current record, the BBC are out there this week so you might hear something on the news. :D
  25. Right, I've been back up to see the car for the first time in six weeks and it's certainly nice to be back on track with it. So today I just started off with finishing off the rear spacers, I milled out a clearance gap for the ABS sensors as Zak pointed out I'd have to do, cheers Pal! Also bolted on the rear 280mm disc brake conversion, decided that the .5mm between the button head bolts and the back of the disc wasn't enough clearance, so tomorrow I'm going to do something about that, probably tap the stub axle to M12 and drill out the caliper bracket to 12.2 and bolt through from the other direction. Also been finishing putting all the brake lines on and spraying up the exhaust hangers. Better pics tomorrow
