  1. that might be - wasn't from Stealth I got em though..... You sure there is difference of the Corrado VR6 brakes thru production - IIRC my early Passat VR6 have same type of brake lines - and my C is a late version.......
  2. Had some issuses with goodridge set myselfe - which was for the Corrado VR6: http://direct.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/vie ... =goodridge If this will be the same trouble for you I don't know ;)
  3. Just thought I'd give a quick update - forgot about it, but the dealer I got it from sorted things out, and took them in return for a refund :)
  4. Maybe not so important to close it before it hits floor. This video explain a bit: [youtube:2tiikiir]LgxMfQUMdJY[/youtube:2tiikiir]
  5. I would make sure that the nipple is closed, then apply some pressure and open nipple slowly, make sure to close it before the pedal is all the way down. You might want to use a hose into a bottle from the bleed niple (where the hose goes into bottle and tip of it sits under brake fluid - so it won't get air back into the system......
  6. Alright I'l admit - love Irish music :) lol [youtube:1bfv22o9]dU6PbcTQIf0[/youtube:1bfv22o9] Maybe not the most traditional - but non the less quite cool song :)
  7. Not the C (as that's parked), but changed the belt on the Passat VR6 - and also the tentioner thingy at the end of the tentioner....... Actually turned out that all the plastic on the wheel that surrounds the bearing had gone so it was only rotating on the bearing it selfe. No wonder it started to make funny noises......:) anyway replaced now with a alloy wheel from GAP - just like the C have....:)
  8. See you sorted it - also had a bit of this trouble when replacing mine - I think it's debrie that get "jammed" in there causing it to be hard to get out sometime.....at least that's what happened to me :)
  9. yea WHAT is that VW lock stuff ??? - part number?.
  10. More like he was scared he fall in love and get sacked for not being able to part with it!! Sounds about right, a vr in good health is an awesome drive imo. X2 :) And I kinda like the 2 guys anyhow!....cheeky at times YES - but always kinda funny....:)
  11. Had a similar problem on my Passat VR6 - checked out lots of stuff including cleaning the ISV etc. Turned out it was sucking in "false" air, so might be an idea to have a look around to see if it takes in air it's not supposed to......Mine was a bit better when the engine was warm - but still not good.
  12. Not my Corrado - but as it's parked for the winter - and the Corrado Support vehicle (Passat VR6) had some serious trouble holding the "idle" going I went out hunting for cause of trouble. Changed the plugs as I had noticed "sparkles" around one of the plugs - that didn't help. Cleaned the MFA - didn't help Cleaned the ISV - Didn't help. After the cleanup of ISV I noticed more "air sound" somewhere in the engine. Actually turned out to be the "damper" that sits on the ISV - it where sucking in "false air" so it was really only able to hold the idle (somewhat) when it was hot. Good to have a normal "roaring" VR6 again......;)
  13. Washed it, changed oil+filter, put on some "spare" tires and put it into hibernation for the winter ;) So back to driving my "Corrado Support vehicle" - Passat VR6 :)
  14. thnx guys - it's going off for winter storage - so just changing the oil first ;)
  15. Anyone able to quickly lookup the amount of oil the VR6 should have when doing a complete oil change. Can't remember from top of head - and the service book I forgot back home :( cheers!
  16. Not being of any help - but just for the record- SU9055X is staying with me until end of times....lol....:)
  17. Not going sentimental or anything but just a lovely song......still wondering about what the writer meant about it - guess it can be both positive and negative............ [youtube:33dwtjkd]u6uRg9aslZg[/youtube:33dwtjkd] Makes me think about going back to Ireland to get back a nice girl I used to date there - now *that* is sentimental......lol.....:)
  18. If I ever going turbo (maybe on a second C project) I know where I will point my guns.....lol.... Some serious work going into this - Love it!....:)
  19. My 215/40/16's: IIRC 7.5" front back is 9" so a bit stretched :)
