Got one of these myself for the G60, I shortened the string on mine to make it more like an original one.

Cobra alarm working great but the fob has done a bunk.

What Cobra alarm have you got? I've got some instructions for mine which is the 4138HF model if you need it. Is your fob like a sail? -
Metal fatigue on a brand new charger with 20k miles on it? When did the charger get replaced and was your charger stock? I would have expected the timing belt to degrade before the metal.

The gauges may possibly just have damp or slight corrosion on the pins if its been sat awhile. If you've not already looked in to it, you could take the binnacle out and pull the gauges out. The gauges simply pull out as whole gauge, with the needles still attached. You could then inspect the pins and clean them out.

Sorry to hear that, when was the last time you had it serviced? and do you use the car everyday. Only reason I ask, is that I had my charger rebuilt about 3 years ago and done about 3000 miles since. So I have been debating if I should have another rebuild done.

Are you on about the hex carrier bolts, they can be a right bitch to get off at times. I take it your using a long breaker bar, of some sort

Pictures would be great, with the early part next to the late part. To help identify which parts I have fitted at the moment.

I took my arch liners off the front wings to give them a proper clean. Sprayed with Megs APC, but any good all purpose cleaner will do. Leave it to soak for a bit then used the auto glym wheel brush to give them a good scrub Rinsed with a hose pipe, then washed with normal car shampoo and a sponge (its the only time I use a sponge on the car) and rinsed again. Used a towel to dry and then applied a coat of colnite wax, and buffed off. Then repeated the wax process again. As for the coilovers, I would probably apply copper grease or white grease. To protect them

1990 1.8 16v oil warning audio beeping randomly

Good point Dox. Does oil temperature sensor still live on top of the oil filter housing on the 16V engine. Like the VR and G60? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Not sure about the 16v engine. But on my G60 it looks similar to yours. One of those sensors is for the oil temperature and the other is the pressure. Once you get the car to normal temperature you could try disconnecting one, and see if oil temp on the MFA goes off. To work out which is which. On the G60 there is also another oil pressure sensor on the right hand side of the head. Check to see if you have there also and the connection on there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Worrying (but tasty) mysterious noise on this mornings commute

True story. Maybe you should buy softmints. :-) -
Can you do a G60 sticker, by any chance?

I'll go along with that to.

I would buy one depending on price, and for me a reasonable price is £10 or less if its out of date.

Might be the alarm immobiliser not switching off, if your fobs not working. Have you an override for the alarm? Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition on? Are you getting any spark at the plugs when you crank the engine? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wiggled with fuse board, now no wipers, fan, sunroof?
sankysvr6 replied to Thursdave's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
When you put the ignition switch on and the Relay 4 has latched over, can you check if you power on the heater fan switch. If you don't you need to check the fuse box connector Q, whilst your there check the other connectors around this area. http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html -

And are the fans or wipers still not working, when the relay has latched? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I just did a wiki for the rear spoiler, have a look at that to get some ideas of what could be the problem. As the rear wiper and you MFA are not working they might be related, as they run off the same stalk i think. But start by checking for power at the motor for the rear wiper. Could be something simple as a fuse or relay.

You will probably get a better a response, once you post a video of the sound you are hearing.

Still on the hunt for this.
