Just ordered these from eBay, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-1-8W-Panel-Bulb-Blue-Base-1-Filament-Trade-pack-x10-R86021002-Ring-New-/331911541213?hash=item4d477831dd:g:aJMAAOSwaB5XjAza The specification matches the current ones, so hopefully should be all good. If anyone wants to go halves with me, I would be more then happy to send you 5 bulbs for £5.50 posted 1st class.

Even if it is, he will still need the key in the ignition barrel to stop the steering lock engaging. So it should read the code from the key if it has immobiliser fitted at the same time.

Thats very kind of you Sean, PM sent.

Thats the other reason for not going down the LED route Jim, if you could even supply the part number it might help narrowing down the search. VW might be just adding a mark up on them, so might available cheaper elsewhere. The T509 ones I've seen on ebay are all LED, and look they would have to fit from outside the cluster, as opposed to inside of the cluster like the original ones.

Just get a big'ish flat screwdriver that fits in the slot of the ignition switch. Unplug the connector for the old ignition switch and plug it in to the new switch, the use the screwdriver to turn the slot in the new switch to start the car. Drive it home and fix it properly at your leisure.

I might see if I can get some bulbs from Maplins and try and replace the bulbs. Don't want to go down the LED route, as I want the green glow to match the rest of the illumination inside Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is the the other type that I need Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you do have some spare Jim, they will be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds like a good idea to me, and at least you can still look out of the window.

Now that I've got my spoiler working again, some of my instrument cluster bulbs are blown. Rang up the dealers, and they only want £5.90 for each bulb that runs across the top of the cluster and I need all 3. Where do they get the prices from. That is all.

I feel your pain, with the snapped bolt. I have watched loads of videos of trying to get snapped bolts out, at the end I concluded you have to perceiver with it and try anything you can to get it out. Sorry but I know this is no help. Is there anything sticking out from the bolt, maybe you can get those irwin bolt grips to help.

Wiggled with fuse board, now no wipers, fan, sunroof?
sankysvr6 replied to Thursdave's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
As your wipers and fan blowers are not working, I would start with relay 4. Make sure this relay is latching when you switch the ignition on, before starting the car. If you can feel and hear the relay latch, check to see if the blowers, wipers are working As all the items you have said are not working, are powered from 'X' power rail which is fed from this relay. If this relay is not latching on, it could be a faulty relay or the ignition switch. Let us know your findings. -

I'm going to do a final write up to summarise my findings, which we hopefully help someone else one day. The capacitor is the electrolytic one circled below It's a 47uf 16v, I picked mine up from Maplins. Part number AU01B Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well I can officially say that there should be no voltage on pin8 of the spoiler module, just Incase if anyone is interested. And my spoiler is working again, like normal. The 12v on pin8 of the module was caused by the blown capacitor, which in turn left some residue behind. Underneath the digital display for the millage, which must have caused it to short to 12v somewhere. Now I need to work out why the capacitor blew in the first place, and if it plans on doing it again.

Thanks Stuart, but don't think that component is my fault. As I've checked that component on my cluster, and its diode. That meters out okay. Tracing pin7 from the cluster and I've found this capacitor that looks blown. So I've replaced that. Reading through post I linked earlier for the 100th time,. I have noticed that I have 12v on pin8 on the connector of the spoiler module. It's not there when I put the VR cluster in. Anyone know for sure if I should have 12v there? Thanks Stuart, Are any of your transistors going spare? and do you know what markings it has on it.

Jog anyone's memory. I've tried some VR clocks and they work fine for the spoiler, just that coolant level light is constantly flashing with it fitted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I checked the circuit of my spoiler module at work, to check it was working correctly. All seemed to look fine with it, but I also got a spare module just Incase. Tried the new module today, and it's still the same. Spoiler only going up and down on the switch. So I traced the wire from the the module to the gauge cluster, and I have continuity from Pin 8 module to Pin 7 of the cluster. So I'm thinking something must be up with cluster. In this post it talks about a blown transistor, but it's not showing me where it is. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?14458-Possible-Spoiler-FIX-Update-page-3/page3 Anyone know where it is?

It does seem that way. LOL I wanting the connector, so I can try and provide a testing and repair service for these modules.

Where are all the breakers gone?

My 2p worth I have been a member on the CF before I even had a Corrado, as I use to come for technical information and help for my VR6 golf. I am also a paid member on the CCGB and the only reason was, I wanted some merchandise when I first got my Corrado and I wanted to attend the shows and get on the club stands. But according to event list, there was hardly anyone going to show so just gave up. But for any help with Corrado, or buying and selling Corrado related stuff. I always turn to the CF, even google points you at the CF if you type in a Corrado question. Back in the VR6OC day where I was also a member and a moderator at the time, it was so easy to put your name down for the club stand, as it was open to paid and non paid members. Which was always going to be better, for new members to come and join in on the club stand, and if they liked it would become paid members. But like has been already said, the 2 Corrado forums need to become 1. As there are not as many members and Corrado’s out there to warrant 2 forums. A new forum should also welcome all types of Corrado’s (modified, standard, on its last legs), and all type of members (rich, poor, in Corrado debt) for the club stands. I would also like to see, maybe new name for the forum, new logos and new merchandise. If there are any shows that our members want to go to, and there is enough interest. We should request a club stand space for the members, so they can represent us at the shows. Even if the show type is not our thing.

The brake master cylinder lives above that. Could be that some has spilt brake fluid when filling, and never bothered cleaning it up. Does look like its been pushed out from the engine bay from some reason. Think its repairable with out to much hassle, but I'm no welder :-).
