  1. All done, got new pipe made by one of local garages. I then decided to paint the new brake pipe black, because I already had a spray can in the garage. Just because I didn't like the copper look of the new pipe. You can just about see the pipe in picture. Best thing was the drives side pipe came off without to much of a struggle. Used a very little bit of copper grease on top of the joints, and finished off with some white spray grease after tightening everything up and bleeding. Hopefully this prevent them from seizing again. Even though I doubt they will be ever removed again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. When you just don't repair something, you have to paint so it looks nice and new. Even though nobody is going to see it Also replace bolts removed for new (if available). Or is that just me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for the link. I didn't realise you had MK4 calipers already. In that case you will just need a Corrado set of hoses. It's a 6 line kit, so you will just end up with 2 spare hoses for the standard rear calipers.
  4. That someone, would have been me. Was I not meant to post the groupon voucher on here?
  5. Yeah it is **** design, putting the fitting on some flimsy piece of metal. Do you mean the other end of the hard brake line? If so I tried loosening that end before sacrificing the pipe. Which came off quite easily, which made a change. The braided lines were purchased of C&R enterprises. But you can buy them from nearly everywhere. Just remember you will need to buy 2 sets, if you decide to fit MK4 rear callipers. Need to find someone to make me a new hard line now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm trying to replace my middle two brake hoses for, braided ones. Had the hoses for awhile. But they were proving very difficult to remove, so left as they were. Well I've gone back to them, and passenger side has rusted solid. But after a lot of messing around. I've managed to get off. Had to cut the old hose and the hard brake line in the process. There is a metal type bracket where the pipe goes, that got a bit bent. Anyone happen to have a picture of it. So that I can roughly bend it back like it's meant to go. And also a picture of the hard brake line. That's how mine is now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Got my pass this Saturday, so long as its dry I'll be there.
  9. Well managed to get the wheels sort of cleaned up, before I strip them down altogether. All were in this state After After some measuring up of the wheels, it seems the 8j rims are actually 8.5j. So good job I bought the standard 1.25" rims off eBay to make 8j's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Try this mate, http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9393 It's most likely where where the bumper slides on to, its the side fixings with 2 round circle things on it. What you might be best doing for the sliding in and out issue. Is to take the wheel arches off, then trying packing the side bumper fixings out with some thin sheets of plastic or something. It will make sense when you look, with the wheel arches removed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Try 'Corrado rub strip' Also put a wanted add up, loads of people have taken them off. So there should be plenty kicking about. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Well I'm not totally decided, on what to do with them. But I'll give you shout if I do sell. I will be having the original outers cleaned and polished once I strip them down, so should be all good. They 9j outers are 2.25" wide. I believe all RH ZW1 have barrels are 6.75" wide. 17. I have thought about gold, but just not sure if its going to be to much in your face.
  18. Possibly sell them, you interested?
  19. Thanks for the positive comments. After I completed the stripping of the lacquer, I dropped them off to local metal polishing company in Halifax. Got them back yesterday and they have turned out really well, they have even managed to remove some of the dings that were in the rims Will post some pictures of them, once I have given them the final polish. Not sure what to do with the centres yet, stick with a silver or go with a colour.

    RH ZW1 4 x 100

A big thanks to Ali, after many whatsapp discussions. Finally met up with him last Friday, and collected the wheels
  21. Well I managed to source some RH ZW1's been after these wheels for awhile. The wheels are 8j and 9j wide, but I'm planning on to rebuild these so they are all 8j. The wheels are not in great condition at the moment, with kerbing on the inside as well as the outside of the rims. But I'm hoping to grind the inside of the rims and re-profile, the best I can. The wheels before collecting them. I've also managed to pick some 1.25" outers from eBay at a bargain price I think. They just need the lacquer stripping off, and then some slight dings need a minor repair. Started on striping the outer rims, All done Next to remove the slight dings, and then a re-polish. 23. I purchased this to help remove a broken bolt from some split rims. I ended up drilling it in the end. So got no use for this item. I should have just returned it to the seller, but got lazy. The item is almost brand new, just the packet has been opened. Wanting £30 posted for this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
