Thanks very much Henny, you're a life saver :thumbleft: If it had been me trying to get my car up and running, I'd probably forget. Thanks again mate :pirate:
-
Henny, did you manage to get the part numbers for the swithches and senders I need or was it a mad to rush to get the car reay for Tatton? Good to hear you got it sorted in time and were able to show it off to others.
-
I think the Blue G60 J-DUB is Henny's car. Not sure about the rest. Was it a good day?
-
I think Henny's G60 is over 200k and I con't think he was happy when he found out
-
Not going to be there (it's a bit far), but sounds like a good idea to me if you wouldn't mind. £0.02

Do my eyes decieve me or is that Campaign interior? Very nice mate. Just need a late spec black dash and trim and you're sorted 8)

If only every car park was as bad and invincible as that one :D I'd park there all the time. Most car parks are only interested in making money so they squeeze as many spaces as they can into the floor area they have. No concern for the people who park there.

6 months and it's proper bo I tell thee 8)

Just over 90k and it's a 92 G60. Got it with 87k back in Feb.
-
how'd you do that? Looks great and suspiciously like the MK4 Golf lighting. I like it 8)
-
Ahh. And I thought living in Spain would make that mod a little easier to do cause of the good weather 8) Does that not scratch the glass badly? I never thought that living near the beach would have a down side :D
-
I think you have to fit a relay for the sunroof to close like that. Not 100% though 8)

Ditch the rear wiper!!! Go on, you know you want to
-
Cheers Rams :D Needs a respray and some big (but light) alloys  Then it will be on the road to being the way I want it. I'm also getting rid of the exhaust cause it's massive. Want to get the car looking standardish and that spoiler on the rear bumper has to go!
-
Not the best pic but my rear wiper is off and the hole is gromit-filled. Calipers are red but whoever done it did a poor job and they nee re-done. Think I'll keep 'em red
-
Sorry but does that look like a seat to you?   NO I DIDN'T THINK SO NOW PI$$ OFF BEFORE I HIT YOU IN THE NUTS WITH A CRICKET BAT! Both of those are my car pet hates
-
Had a flick through it this morning and saw their how to section was on a stage 4 rebuild. Gave it three spanner rating (very hard). How pi$$ed off are people who do that kind of work gonna be? How brave would you have to be to do it yourself though, don't fancy it myself
-
Not rubbing it in mate, I know how you feel. When my Golf GTi was getting assessed (and eventually written off) I had a 1-litre Pug 206... nasty! The g/f has a new Punto and it's not that bad.. but nothig compared to the C obviously. Good luck with the jigsaw mate.

Well I got home fdrom work today and sitting on the stairs in my house was a switch that looks just like the ones I've just bought!!!! Said to my mum "where did this come from?", she said "was lying around the house, has been for ages" how pi$$ed off am I? Turns out it is the black 1.4+/-0.2 bar one which I assume is the one to replace the aftermarket switch in my car. However, the black switch on my car is on the oil filter housing closest to the block. The part number for the black switch I bought was 068919081 and is 1.2-1.6 bar. The part number on the one my mum found is 068919081. Would I be right in assuming that either I have the wrong part or the switch I bought is an updated version for the one on the oil filter housing furthest from the block? Thinking I've got the wrong bits!!! Blue 0.15-0.35 bar sender is for righ of block where oil feed to charger is, this bit is at least correct. The other one mentioned above has me stumped though! On a different note... how's the head-work coming along Henny? Are you still being forced to drive the dreaded PUNTO?

Did they not make a convertible C as well? Would be great for all this hot weather we're getting. Hasn't someone on the forum got pics of a project convertible?

Is it not a good idea to fit the VR clutch to the G60 or was it the gearbox? Not sure about that one but I've heard that one of these is a good upgrade. Someone back me up or hit me in the nuts with a cricket bat :D
-
Cheers mate, I'll keep my eyes
-
You forgot the Campaign model earlier
-
"Special order parts can't be returned sir"    Bastids I tell thee! Fitted the "wrong" part since I had it anyway and on removal of the old one saw that it was corroded. Every cloud has..... not fitted the other bits yet because thanks to a bit of jiggery pokery I managed to get a temp reading in the MFA  :D    Disconnected the oil temp gauge and the pressure gauge so just left with voltage and boost and got a temp reading between 88-102 on the way back from the stealer. Does this sound about right? What gauges should I keep then? Defo the boost gauge but to choose 1 more from the remaining 3 is tough. Well, not the temp gauge cause I wanna see how things go with the MFA so it's between the battery voltage and engine pressure. Advice please guys. 8)
