For the 16v rad the lower pipe is in the right place, the needs to be on the oppsoite side. Same prob but vice versa with the VR6/rallye rad, custom would be the way to go. If I had to redo mine I would have gone custom to cut down on the cost of silicone pipes and joiners etc. The 16v rad should more than cope with the heat, have seen a 1.3 rad used on a remapped BAM engine  and the guy said it was fine.....funny thing was his turbos water lines were not connected either  Power wise aim for 180, car varys day day tbh, you can feel the car pull alot harder on cold wet days, the VR clutch should be fine, would not reccomened for anything over 200 as it does occasionaly slip. The best thing would be to get the car up and running and then get it re-mapped to suit the parts you have used for your build, as the QPE is too generic. Mine needs setting up properly and will prob take it to the Phirm as I have heard nothing but good things about the work they have done. Hope this helps.

Can be done.....you can use the subaru rear subframe, bolt it to the chassis legs (with some re-inforcing), change the front chassis legs to subaru items and then just bolt up the subaru subframe. It was all done on that TV show...cant remember the name now...but basically used a mk2 golf, had the subaru AWD. Car looked fookin ugly tho.

I'd go for a big as rad as possible, vr6 etc or use a genuine 16v one not a sh*tty pattern one from gsf and the like

No exciting updates......just cleaned and tidied the bay and replaced a few bottles.....have to be budget mods for a while as the hose needs a new roof :( climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfDSCF4447.JPG[/attachment:l2r0utza] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDSCF4448.JPG[/attachment:l2r0utza] DSCF4445.JPG[/attachment:l2r0utza]

What kind of oil temps do you get? mine needs a good spanking to get into the 90s, if you potter arround it sits in the mid 80s
-
Cheers, the interface box looks like a worthwhile investment lol Be intresting to see what air temp figures I get as well, might have to get the angler grinder out if there too high :D

Have enjoyed reading and watching this build any plans to go to Ed38? would like a closer look at this monster :dorky: lol Like what you have done with front bumper, must make a real diffrence all that extra air!! even more so on a cold day :) Thought about doing this my self, but was concerned about taking away structural integrity buy cutting the metal C section that links the front chassis legs. Have you welded any braces to the metal sections? Also did you buy you can interface box from QPE or from SBD? Well done Sukh

expensive and not ideal for a daily....LOL may aswell forget that for mine then. Gearing on thr syncro/rallye box is not ideal, is the skoda 1.8t 4x4 box 6 speed? I'm guessing you can stick the rallye transfer box on the skoda box to keep the whole thing syncro, rather than going the haldex route. Just after better gearing really.

Welcome back! Should be an intresting thread! Incidently how muck does a quaife box for the rallye/syncro go for these days?

Anyone with any experience of a 3.2 TT dsg?

My 2 pence worth, couple of things/weaknesses to watch out for: Sump very easy to strip threads resulting in some messy repar work or new sump. Think they just used low grade ally on the sump? DSG flywheel - there seems to be a fair few peeps who have had the the dual mass flywheel resulting in a warped flywheel, Repair can be costly as a new flywheel and VAG 'repair kit' is required (no idea whats in it even TPS didn't know!). Cost for repar £1300+ Usually detectable as a vibration in the engine, also can be felt inside the car thru the pedals, if left unfixed can fook up your bottom end (worst case secnario). -
Congrats on your awsome purchase mate! One of my fave cars on the forum! didn't realise it was sold untill my bro told me he knew someone who had just bought an awsome Corrado LOL Will be intresting to see the changes you make! if you decide to get rid of the battery relocation kit give us a shout :D

16v has 2 pumps, one inside the tank (lift pump) and one under the car near rear seats drivers side (main pump)

Good build thread...no messing there!

Nice motor down the road from me.... will try and get him to get come up to the MK meet.

Sounds/looks tasty 8)

I have been told off by a few peeps who did it, that my build thread simplifys it too much, there is alot of work involved TBH, not just on the car but finding parts, making parts etc. Think for every hour I spent on the car I prob spent 3-4 hours doing 'research' lol
-
LOL - Glad I didn't sell it! have reached the conclusion if I can't afford to run it I will just lock the car away for as much time as it takes, untill I can. Yep glad I didn't sell it, still bloody modding tho...can't help it LOL Cheers, defo couldn't manage it again now that I know whats involved LOL MMmmmm think I have a screwfix voucher somewhere :D

Car is now my daily and has not le me down....even in the heaviest of snow I got good traction. Was weird seeing alot of newer cars with the fancy traction controls unable to move LOL Here are some pics from last week, the car was machine polished/waxed just before Ed38. Car was washed using lambs wool mit & Megs gold shampoo, then towled dry. Would really love to get hold of a decent/good value snow foam setup, any recommendations welcome. WOW 8) Can recomend the Rallye/VR6 rad, only prob is it can overcool in the winter, I struggle to get temps above 76C, even with the intercooler strapped in from of it. Been thinking of covering it partly with cardboard to get the temp up

Both old enough to know better.....got what they deserved. Feel for the family of the 20 year old guy and his 19 year old girlfriend, what a waste of life :(
-
Sounds like its connected to the washing...check all connectors? where is your air filter? did you get water in there? Really do need to get a QPE'ng help guide going as there are quite a few of us running it. Its not like there are alods of connectors to it really aswell!

Good to see police resources being put to good use :cuckoo: , it's not like there are any real criminals, murders, rapists, paedos etc etc out there! :censored:
