  1. Best advice I have ever been given (has been true most of the time), reagrding any big mods: "Add up what you think it will cost you and double it! LOL" Remember the cost of the engine is only one aspect, don't forget all the other bits you will need as well, e.g. ecu, pipework, mounts, brackets, wiring + comonents, remapping, new tools, new fluids etc etc even all costs of nuts and bolts add up mate!
  2. Is there not a plastic tab held down by a a plastic nut you need to do undo first? before lifting up the res. Located down the side of the power steering bottle I think
  3. Camera ran out of juice! really need to get some pics/video up! The 4x4 is nuts LOL weird seeing snow being flicked up by all four wheels! and shooting up our steep street whilst way more advanced/modern and expsnsive cars are struggling/stuck
  4. Don not tighten to the orginal steel/rubber mount torque settings. As the new mount is aluminium (metal is softer) it needs to be done up to the VT specified torque settings.

    Audi TT 225

Had my mates 3.2 TT for a couple of weeks...have to agree they are bloody nice! He just spent a fair old wedge getting afew bits done. TTQS wheels, miltek, lowered, remapped LOL car is so much better for it now! Can really highly recommned APS if you need any work done, they are the Dons! Couple of bits to watch out for, dodgey sump plugs! and vibration in the DSG dual mass flywheel!
  6. Straight forward conversion really, drops on existing mounts, uses existing gearbox, only fidly bits are engine management and connection the various pipeworks.
  7. Depends on what the smoke smells like? if its a stong acrid smell then its you clutch.
  8. No, I just moved the abs sensor mounting point LOL
  9. You will have to drill holes yourself mate. Dont drill where there are 'circles' on the turrets, these are spotwelds and hold the various layers of metal that make up the strut area together.
  10. Welcome! Bargain for £500! minor bits need sorting buy the looks!
  11. Worth doing the front engine mount while you have the front apart aswell (if it needs doing that is!)
  12. Washed it, took it for a drive, whacked it into high boost and smoked an R32  and now about to sorn it for the winter :(
  13. Not a bda idea as the turbo will quieten it down somewhat.
  14. Very nice mate! Wheels really suit it 8) Was it Yetis old'un?
  15. Temps of over 110 are common on the valvers, as they can run quite hot. Although if its hitting 124 that’s pretty high (and not good for the oil or engine components), which may be causing the oil to thin and causing pressure probs, hence the buzzer.
  16. Nice looking system mate. You could go for a larger backbox, or the cheaper option of getting a centre siliencer fitted.
  17. How did you find them? worth a punt at £5?
  18. Anyone tired these wipers? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AERO-FLAT-REAR-WI ... 3ef98670c0 Think they just clip onto your existing arms?
  19. Hi mate, Welcom to the corrado forum! Nice workshop! When you going to Syncro the Corrado then LOL?
  20. Nice write up David! looks like you have been busy :) where does the outside temp sensor wiring come from? is it iff the lighting loom or was it the engine loom? As I can't seem to find mine
  21. LOL I did what your mate did....but the right way round calibra to Corrado!
  22. LOL oredered the gaiter amd handbrake lever cover. Gearlever gaiter was great. The handbrake lever cover looked like schitt (once fitted)! and was cnut to fit! don't bother with it mate, save your pennies.
