  1. I'd go for a jetex system, 2.5" bore, well built and pretty quiet. Its on my list.
  2. The corrado VR6 pedal is stiff yes due to the throttle body's dual spring set up. I run a golf VR6 BBT (enlarged throttle) which only has the one spring and is alot softer. Nothing to worry about.
  3. Looks lovely! Nice welding on the IC pipework!
  4. Did exactly the same with mine 2 years ago. Been fine ever since.
  5. Umm got my fronts to tackle on saturday, fun fun fun!I ve had the 288's sat in the garge for 4 months, just been putting it off for the above reasons
  6. 17"x8" and 205/40 17's tyres will be fine.
  7. I ve got both the Autoglym and the gliptones leather cleaner and conditioner and the gliptones is by far the better product. I do a full clean twice a year and condition every other month. Keeps them in great shape.

  9. Are you refering to the thickness? and they are 280mm in diamter? pics would help.
  10. Looks like the rocker cover gasket to me. I would replace the gasket and go from there.
  11. symptoms, it started to wine pretty badly. Then eventually started making a horrible sound. Mine looked pretty much the same as yours. I dropped the sump on mine after to clean the remains of the top pad, i'd recommend you do it as well as there were a few bits floating around..
  12. I had this problem with mine when the bolt tensioner got a little bit of crap in it blocking the oil way, this resulted in chewing the top pad up. By the way if you want another top pad (original metal with polymer layer and rivets) I have a brand new one you can have for free.
  13. Had the same problem with mine. Got a new hanger welded on in the end.
  14. Good call. Well the light has been off for 3 days now so took it back and it passed 8) . Not sure what the fault is/was but i'll check the abs ecu connection just to be sure.
  15. Use a multi meter to check the resistance of the sensor. The rears join under the back seats.[/quote:1nlpan7e] What sort of resistance do you look for does it short out or open circuit if it its faulty?[/quote:1nlpan7e] I cant remember the exact values but you will be able to tell by comparing the others.
  16. Bloody thing hasn't come on all day! Going to book it in again for thurs afternoon, fingers crossed. ordered two new rear rotors as i know these were not replaced when the discs were. At least that will eliminate that from my search.
  17. Only reason I mentioned the rear rotors was due the discs and pads being replaced last year. The guy left one of the rears off, light came on, he refitted it and since then it
  18. Just removed the plastic cover and the shelf above. Abs ecu looks bone dry (haven
  19. I havent had any leaks since i ve owned it (2 years). I havent checked the ABS ecu yet, will have a look tonight. Surely if it was the abs ecu though would it not bring up another error code?
  20. Umm possibly but not sure, thats the main problem.
  21. Use a multi meter to check the resistance of the sensor. The rears join under the back seats.
  22. My abs light has been intermittently coming on and off over the last year. Over the last two weeks its mainly been off only for the swine to come on at its MOT test today .... u guessed it failure :( :( Anyway all wheel sensors check out ok. Got the fault code: 00279 1223 Differential Lock Valve 1 -N125 Faulty wiring, wiring connection or valve coil. Test wiring, wiring connections and valve coil We had a quick look at the connection to the abs pump seemed fine gave it a quick clean but no better. Has anyone encountered this error before (nothing of merit on the search). Bit stumped on the "valve coil" . Pretty fed up at the moment :(
  23. Manifold will be fine wrapped, no problem.
  24. http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ ... ode=NIMG3A I ve used this on previous cars. Works well. They also do a cheaper single layer shield which is easily formable. Might be worth removing the manifold and wrapping it though as this helps keep under bonnet temps down as well as protect near by components, then there
