I ve tried both the viper and bmc cda on the vr.The Bmc is a much better fit, better made, sounds better .... see where I am going with this :lol: o and cheaper

I brought a few things from the states. Passat door handles, ally crack pipe and vagcom lead. Next is a set of autotech 262's 8)

ooo sounds interesting will have a peep on sunday then! Mine is £1600 at Stealth, full head rebuild, a bit of porting here and there :) 3 angle valve seats, new chains etc, clutch & 6 branch fitted.

use forte gas treatment. Used by the trade so you cant buy from shops. Have a look on ebay its by far the cheapest source.

As above if you want run of the mill stuff then the vw syth silver is ok, Decent oil pro s10w50.

First thing is to remove the inlet manifold and rocker cover then the upper timing chain cover can be removed. This will allow you to inspect the chains. 53k is mega low for the chains to go are you 100% the milage is gen?

Thats bad! My mates e36 had a side strip swiped and I must have seen three e36's with their rear spoilers ripped off.

Blue temp sensor error was probably from the last sensor. you need to clear the fault run the car and test again to see if it still comes up 8)

Might be worth giving Vince a ring at stealth and poping it up there. He knows the lumps well. Sorted my mates mk1 gti out. -
hi mate, no at one point I thought i'd got it to work after downloading a driver so it picks the cable up on the pc but its still not having it :? how did the compression test go? if i get it to work i'll give u a bell ...next option is the hammer though :lol:

haha.... I brought a braided hose kit off the guy, said i was going on holiday and would pay when I returned home, to which he said was fine. Come back and hes opened a not paid dispute!!! paid for it, they turned up, told him and he still hasnt closed the dispute!! :?

Hi Jon If I manage to get mine working (planning to try again tomorrow) then I'll give you a shout. Although its not the full version so engine scanning only no abs.

Having problems with my vagcom. I have a cheap usb cable off ebay. This all worked fine with my laptop running win 2000. However on my new laptop and my brothers both running XP service pack 2 we 're having problems. Installed the software, pluged the cable in, computer see's this, all good. However when trying to install the usb driver for the cable it doesnt find it. (thats following the proceedure of selecting the vagcom folder with the driver in). If you go into vagcom and use com 3 it finds the cable fine. So the problem is installing the usb driver. Anyone had sim issues?
