If its leaking then yes its not going to help matters.
-
Thats the fuel pressure regulator. The hose is an air line, so dont worry about leaking fuel. Just replace the hose/trim it if theres still enough to re attach.

Got the same problem with mine Ollie. Not had a chance to look in to it yet though, but most probably a faulty sensor as a few have already mentioned.

Stainless steel VR6 6-2-1 exhaust manifold - whats the best?
steve @ replied to martyjmcfly's topic in Engine Bay
Jay I used the Thermo-tec copper wrap. (still haven’t quite finished it though). I am also going to spray mine to seal it as recommended. -
Peanut is right, it just goes to a blank connection.
-
look into getting a shorter final drive, that will improve your 1/4 times. Thats doable for £500.
-
I'd take the alfa over the s3 any day, but then again i am an "engine" kind of guy 8)

Another one bites the dust... - Sod the cost, i need a rado.

Sorry to hear that chap. -
Check when the engines cold. On level ground.
-
As above. Mine has had a GSF/non vag rad fitted at some point, not great quality ...
-
That is way ott. Might as well get an aftermarket system like magnex, supersprint or a complete custom system for about £350 fitted.
-
Just had a look in the engine bay on mine, it's not connected either so wouldn't worry. Not to sure what its for though lol.
-
As above really. Although a BMC Cda is a good place to start. Tested on stealths rr proved a 7bhp gain. Other breathing mods like big bore throttle body, port matching inlet manifolds decat and exhaust will free up a few more ponies. After this is gets expensive i.e cams, VSR manifold, head work and probably the best option on a vr FI supercharger/turbo.

tyre size is irrelevant to pressure. PSI (pounds per square inch). I usually put 32 all round then adjust from there. I run 34 front 32 rear on the VR which I think is standard factory quoted pressures.

I also spoke to the guy on ebay who did A218s (like the RX) with Proxes for £500. He says that they are only made now in the 4 stud pattern so if you have a 5 stud you'll need to get a set second hand or maybe shipped in from the States. Steve, i loved your wheels and just missed out on them but i've been trying to find a set ever since. No luck yet. James. Cheers dude. Have a new set of wheels now though, quite similar ....

Mocal fitted to the VR but need help with a coolant hose
steve @ replied to martyjmcfly's topic in Engine Bay
http://www.gruvenparts.com/ Its known as the crack pipe, standard plastic one is pants as you have found  . The ally one from Gruven allows you to block the heat/exchanger hole off (due to the hole being internally treaded). I have just ordered one before fitting my Mocal cooler. -
I ve had ace wheels before. Couldnt fault them very good finish.
-
Think stealth is £800+vat.
-
LOL I ve probably spent the best part of 2k so far .... more to come 8)
-
look awesome mate nice choice!
-
Yeah if you fitted just a rear mount. undo the gear box and front mount then push pull the engine then re torque all mount nuts. Was it a standard rear mount you fitted?
-
17x8 will be fine. Not 100% sure but 17x9 might give you problems on the rear.

Lowered my VR6 by 40mm..but not happy with ride..HELP??

Pre Evo VI's look so dated and plain Jane boring. Interiors are rancid as well all IMO of course
