Just bought a 1992 2.0 16V Corrado and only require the shell so the engine and all the engine bits for it are up for grabs. I don't have much history of the engine but it starts up fine and seems to run pretty well. The car itself has done over 200k miles but the previous owner stated that the engine was changed at some point, again no real details or proof. The whole setup is still in the car so can be viewed/heard before removal (however I do hope to remove it very soon). I'm selling the whole unit ie gearbox, drivesafts, starter motor bottom end, cylinder head, air filter box, metering unit, distributor, inlet pipe, exhaust manifold and coolant system (rad and hoses), wiring loom anything else that may be needed for a conversion. (no alternator though sorry) This video shows the engine starting up from cold (proven by me touching the exhaust manifold), slow to start but this is to do with the dead battery (started off a battery charger. The bad noise that can be heared is a loose power steering belt which is slipping a screeching. http://s144.photobucket.com/albums/r180/quicky1980/itmes to sell/Items selling/?action=view¤t=MOV_4181.mp4 http://s144.photobucket.com/albums/r180/quicky1980/itmes to sell/Items selling/?action=view¤t=MOV_4182.mp4 If sold individually these bits would come to more that the sale price of £250 £190 £150 Need gone to allow for my next project to get started. If it doesnt sell Ill store away and keep to make a off road buggy

4 x 17"x7.5" BBS LM Rep' Wheels in 5x100 setup. Three have tyres but all are in need of replacement. All wheels are in general good condition with no bends or cracks but could do with a quick refurb to bring them back up to top notch condition ie polish up the lips and replace the corroded bolts. One wheel has stainless steel bolts already fitted but havent got round to doing the remaining wheels - I'll throw in the bag of SS bolts to do the other wheels. BBS style badges included if full asking price is made Originally planned to use for track days but need to clear some space. No spigot rings included Prefer collection but courier possible at buyers expense £325 £280

Late Spec Interior. Youll get the front and rear cards, front and rear seats including the rear armrest. All in good conditions, some areas of the the rear cards slightly damaged but once installed cant be seen. Seats have no cigarette burns, nor any wear holes but the drivers side could do with a new boulster. Was keeping them as spares for when I refurb' the leather seats but I need the space now.£200 £170 click image to enlarge

possible that there is a trapped wire in the dash area somewhere, check the stereo wiring and if that all looks fine check behind the speedo cluster. if all looks fine you may have to follow the wiring from the fuseboard to all relevant connections good luck

lol, great not another stalker! Thanks for the heads up though.

As Kev said, the sump should be well clear of being hit. Is the 12v block taller causing the sump to be closer to the ground?? There were some sump guards made up by a guy on ebay a while back. Ill try to see if I still have his contact details. ---------- Post added at 3:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:14 PM ---------- sorry, must have deleted it. cant find his email anymore ---------- Post added at 3:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 3:16 PM ---------- nope, I lie his user name on ebay is/was asw75r and he advertised he was advertising [h=2]#140360651140, ending on 24-Nov-09 18:21:00 GMT - VW sump guard VR6/mk2/mk3/corrado etc[/h]

Not sure if anyone on here is currently experiencing this or something like this but its getting on my nerves. Recently I've been having lots of missed calls, most of which show a number of +8801766059970. Since, I've made sure I have the phone close by so that I dont miss the next call, but wierdly the phone rings for less than a second and then the call ends so therefore not allowing me to answer the phone. The international cose is Bangladesh and I have no reason to have a call come from there and therefore I wont call them back on my mobile as Im a litte bit suspicious with it all. So, I called them from my work number that doesnt allow for caller id and i got through to someone but they didn't say much and if they did I couldnt understand them. Anyone know if this is a scam or something or simply a wrong number? Ive had about 20 calls from it now :bonk:

oh mate, not good! I would have thought the police would have wanted to go straight round to his to get a breath test to check for alcohol. Sadly, I reckon its going to be tough to prove if it was actually him driving the car at the time. Put all the details on here ie car spec, reg and what he looks like and maybe he will get spotted again and a bit of careful undercover detective work he could be followed home unnoticed. Then go see if he still smiling. I dont condone violence at all but situations like this make me mad!

Just came across this too! Gutted for you Chris, especially on such a clean car like yours. What a d**k to not stop and to just laugh at ya I would have seen red and just end up ramming his car off the road. I think you were sensible in the decision to stop chasing. Lets hope they string him up for leaving the scene of an accident. Keep us posted, if you find out his address, maybe post it on here for a group "chat".

tbh any transverse engine gearbox swap is a pain in the rear. I've done it on a vr on my own with the engine in situ, but told my self that next time I would just taking the whole engine out. If you have a ramp and some mates to help i reckon engine left in situ is fine.

ive got one stripped and ready for rebuild but Im a little bit far from you mate - Peterborough
