could be a number of factors. check for loose fixings etc, then get the mechanism checked that its correctly adjusted before you start worrying about clutch/gearbox problems
-
to avoid a shouting at, best say which corrado you have.

not true, it's not illegal to lower. it's illegal to lower with the intention to falsify info. ie if you lower the mileage to make the car worth more then this is very illegal, if however you tell the buyer or have documentation showing the changes then this is fine. It's hard to get away with clocking these days as the MOT store the mileage online so we can all view the mileage on any car, allowing us to check for any discrepencies. but for Joe, it sounds like the mileage will be made to match the car so would be perfectly acceptable
-
thats really good of her, does she have a sister?
-
its not a cheap fix irrc, between 100 and 200 squid when I looked at matching the mileage to the new engine

Great seeing you today James. Will be watching this as I'm sure it will turn out quite lovely after a spit and polish -

oem. i know that one (of many) faults is that the rear lambdas arent reading, but they should have been deleted off the ecm, obviousely not. so maybe this could be the cause?
-
cool for two reasons, first that you can speak to him directly and second that youve confirmed he is still in business. thanks
-
not sure mate, just tried to check it out and the part number looks right, but there are a few part numbers available so cant pin point the problem hopefully someone can answer the problem for us.
-
heres mine... ..yup, didnt run due to trackin so still dont know :epicfail:

Just got back from Stealth and Vince mentioned something about my conversion not being right as its not adaptive/adaption or something similar wording to that. ie it's not learning the driving style, fuel etc Have I wired it up wrong then? Or is this problem found in the ECM? I bought the loom as a plug and play and the ecm should have been modded to match as they were both done at SWICT Could someone attempt to clear up what this fault could be and I'll try and talk to SWICT about it too this week. Kinda now makes sense why my car loves a drink or two.

nice work, but I agree with the others. Have a great Birthday mate!
-
very nice! how did you wire up the rev counter, Ive used an adaptor but there is a slight delay between blipping the pedal and the needle moving and its friggin anoying! And welcome
-
Have they given you a rear handle from a passat by mistake? In fact, they may have given you the front ones too and should explain the issue your seeing. how much did you pay for them? post the part number up, someone may be able to confirm.

Sounds like a great idea to add in some "extras", but I would say let's keep it simple as fitting after market brakes would still be possible with spacers, offset can be played around with spacers (plus this would effect the scrub radius anyway) I would say, make it a close to OE as possible, from a biased opinion I dont want to have to change brakes, wheels etc just for this upgrade, that is unless these can be fabbed up easily to custom spec once weve got the basics sorted out. just my 2p's worth
